Need to buy a new \"don\'t know what\"
I am overwhelmed and getting more confused. I don't yet know the secret language you all are using. I want to replace a getting beat-up Simplicity RTG12. It's 16 years old, still can cut the lawn, but there's more to do now. Two horses and rented utility land added. Have about 1.5 acres of lawn, 1.5 acres of pasture (little rough, but the horses take care of most of it) and 1 acre of pretty rough (uneven, little rocky, wet grass field). The 12HP Simplicity currently does the job but I'd like to get it done a little quicker, with something that can take the bounces and still give a nice cut to the front lawn.
The time is only worth so much money. I first started thinking of a used sub-compact import. A little snow removal was a consideration. Garden tractors are too much $. Considering lawn tractors $2-4000 just for the lawn and something else for the snow. So right now I'm trying to figure out if I can get a rugged whatever that will do the nice job in the front and stand up to the back. Different mower attachments may be a consideration. I don't know. I've made 4-5 major mind changes the last 2 days. Any advice or considerations would be greatly appreciated. I can't afford to waste the money.
