Needle bearings on front drive

This is a 2301D which I hope is the same parts as a 276D. I have some play in the front wheels which I am pretty sure can be attributed to the needle bearings on the shaft that goes into the final gear case. Has anyone dealt with this, and what is the parts availability? Anything to watch out for in the removal? Any advice/experience greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, got it apart and the needle bearings are the problem. Unfortunately, the shaft and gear that the bearings ride on are also bad. I'm thinking that these 4wd tractors that lived in the rice paddies probably got a lot of water in these final drive boxes and the mortality rate is probably high. Hope I can get the parts......

If all else fails, try EFC. He has a machine shop and has made many gears etc for these. It might be an option to weld and turn down the shafts.

The spindle, bearings & gears are available for your YM2301D.
