I would imagine a Wrist-Rocket (slingshot) would work with paintballs too.

That sounded like a good idea to me too. And I happened to have a wrist-rocket and paintballs and wildlife I wanted to discourage. The 4th or 5th paintball exploded on the launch pad. I didn't get too much on me.

I've been around dogs my entire life. I currently have two. They both know where our property boundary is.

This neighbor isn't going to do anything about this.

Another thing that gripes my behind. "It's not the dog's fault". Yes it is. That dog knows it's doing wrong. Barking at the OP as he runs it off proves that. That dog is only beginning to be a problem.

Someone mentioned a dog chasing their animal up on the porch. Once.

Right now, only knowing what I've read on this thread, the failure is on the OP's part. Take care of this business or quit whining about it. Sorry. Life is like that sometimes.

My dogs when I had them had only respect for roaming. We built Fort Knox for them over a period of a year. Started with a nice big pen. Ended with three feet of wire fence underground...rail road ties with rebar...wired to chain link fence. They ended up just pulling on the chain link till it too gave way. We ended up bringing them into the house. If they were not outside with us....they would be gone within ten minutes if left unsupervised. Otherwise they were smart and protective. We spent some money on that pen. LOL.

My neighbor now has the same issue with his dog. I just point to the pen and say...better to bring the dog inside and supervise it all the time.

LOL, Pepper the dog with florescent pink skunk juice and send him back home might send a message. Problem is most of those who let their dog roam don't listen to reason. They intrinsically feel letting dogs do what they do justifies their own negligence. If you confront them, no matter how reasonable your argument, you become the villain in their eyes.

Yep. And the dog is always so sweet and wouldn’t bother anyone. Even though the dog was just barking and growling.
