I agree this is normally true but there are instances this is not the case and has been proven many times over, but for the most part you know where you stand with a dog..

Take a decent dog along with a decent wife, throw them both in the car trunk and lock it closed for 24 hours.

Open up the trunk 24 hours later and see who is greatful to see you with their tail wagging:D

Kids are a lot like dogs, they don't get to choose their family.

Just like men, there are some dogs that need to be put down as well, I know.

Actually, we do pick our parents. Probably not for the reasons people might think.

The husband of a Washington DC woman who was mauled to death by the family's pit bull over the weekend has broken his silence, revealing that the attack happened in a matter of minutes while he was at the store.

Angela Smith, 55, suffered fatal injuries on Sunday evening inside a home on Dexter Terrace that she shared with her husband, Robert Frazier, and their dog, Kaine.

Choking back tears, Frazier told NBC4 on Monday that he went out after 6pm the night before to buy something and returned a short time later to find his dog biting his wife.

It's a fricking joke! lighten up a little. The point is that a dog is a lot easier to please than most people are.

Choking back tears was he, he is a moron for bringing potential danger into his family..

The husband says "she may have taken food from him" and that's why the pit bull killed her, what a moron.. Great excuse for not training a dog, living in an apartment, no place for the dog to do anything and an aggressive breed to begin with..

It happens too often, it could happen five days a week in this country and the people that own or want to own pit bulls would still defend the breed.

Now this guy in DC may have been an upstanding guy that decided to take a chance and buck the statistics and now his wife is dead. Some people have to learn the hard way, the guy is an idiot for bringing the breed into his house all the while knowing any part of his family or anyone visiting could be in danger.. Now his wife is dead because he made a foolish mistake, he didn't die, someone else did because he is a moron, his wife should have went to the store and it happened the other way around, he would have paid the price instead of making someone pay for him..

Unfortunately when I see someone with a pit bull my thoughts are that there is a pretty good chance they are losers.. Seems that I see more pit bulls in trashed trailer houses, junk everywhere, cars that haven't run in 20 years and the doors of the trailer open all winter, beer cans all over the lawn and burn out marks in front of the trailer or low income apartment housing, sad..

My neighbors' little girl sometimes leaves the door open and their dogs take advantage of the lapse in security and have a walkabout. If I see them headed down the street, I usually just have to call their names and they know they're rumbled and head back home.
And I just took home another neighbor's little Ernest Borgnine dog that showed up at the water bucket around noon. Noone was home, so I kept her so she wouldn't be on the road. Don't think any of these dogs would cause any harm, but could cause an accident or be hit so I keep watch for them. Cats are road savvy and I'm fortunate that they prefer to stay in their own yard here.

If it was supposed to be a joke, why wasn't it funny?

Ugh. Yuck.

You're scratching the surface, read into the story though....

1 - Police called the dog a pit bull, the person dealing with dogs who took the dog in called it a "large mixed breed". Hmmm, police are NEVER wrong are they?

2 - Dog was food agressive with people AND was agressive with other dogs yet this guy had the dog since he was a puppy??? Mulitple warning signs not necessarily due to the dog, but with the owner.

3 - I've had a couple of "pits", don't think of either myself or my family as losers. If I had ANY dog that was food agressive with humans, it would either be lose that trait or it would be gone.
