Not too shabby; you nabbed a $200 air gun for a fraction of the price and I'd imagine you'll be able to get it working right with patience.

I had no idea what it cost new. I just know it looked expensive. As far as patience, I'm not a doctor, so we'll see how that goes.

I have had more dogs dropped off at the end of my road at the ranch than I want to count. I have a camera set up to see if any get dropped off by heartless humans. It's well over 3 dozen at this point.

I have an area set up in the shop to house a dog or two until I can get them into the shelter.

I guess it comes down to the person. Some people can't stand this type of stuff to the point of obsession and others have other more pressing things to worry about. I guess I'm glad this wouldn't even register on the worry item for me.

They're animals, they use poo as a way to communicate.

Ask yourself, if lying on your death bed...would this occupy your thoughts? If no, don't worry about it.

Agree, I've been shot with a BB gun at point blank range and it hurts like a Mofo but it didn't break the skin through my jeans. I don't think it is any more inhumane than a shock collar up full strength. In fact, given the choice between the two, I'd take that BB all day long.

BB gun is the answer, it won’t draw blood but just make them yelp and leave. If you do that a few times then the dogs realize “hey if I go over there it hurts”. It worked for me, I just popped their little butts with a BB and they took off. It only took twice for my problem to stop.

I think the sound of the gun and the BB whacking them suddenly, scares them as much as it hurts them. They used to say train a puppy with a lightly rolled newspaper because the sound scares them but it doesn't hurt them.

Well, admittedly there are a large variation of FPS on BB guns. I'm just talking about a plain old one cock daisy or red rider.
