Netscape/Firefox tweak

Seems to be working better.
I do have a questions.

I think you are talking about site specific features Ron. If you are talking about useability for TBN with Mozilla. Spellcheck is handled by Spellcheck.net and is fed the data from the input box on this site. This is not controllable by Firefox or any web browser for that matter.

I don't have the problem you are talking about in edit mode for TBN messages with Firefox or IE either one. Can you elaborate on what you are seeing?

If I post my message and then go back and hit edit, I am presented with a "Post" input box with my old message already in it. I simply use the mouse, click in the text in the place I want to start typing and do it. Is this not what you are seeing?

I'm using Spellbound within Foxfire for spell check. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I am not editing a post this is in the original post.
When I got to the end of second line I tried to add the confused Icon to the first line. Put the cursor after the word check, but when I clicked on the Icon it was put after the word post of second line. You may be right. It is a TBN thing when using Foxfire.
Thanks for the changes. Sites are loading faster.

Ahh.. I know what you are talking about now with the editing. You weren't talking about plain text. You were talking about the javascript that TBN uses to insert special editing in the post. I DO see the same thing, but I think it is a quirk in the way Firefox handles that javascript in relation to the the input box for the text. I feel that would require a tweak to the code by Muhammad. It may not even be possible to make the behavior exactly the same across all browsers.

I looked in my Add/Remove programs here on my computer at home and Sun Java is not even in there. However I still can not install from the Fire Fox page or the manual download.

I'll try and give it another try. E1606 is an online installer error and shouldn't be seen from a full download package. Never seen this before on 10's and 10's of installs. I would try this:

1. Uninstall firefox. I think when you did the intial install back in Dec it was still V.97.
2. Uninstall and/or delete all files you downloaded firefox installer, Java, etc.
3. Reboot.
4. Download the JRE again (See below)
5. Install the JRE before doing anything else. Hopefully it will work this time
6. Download firefox 1.0 and install.
7. Go get the plugins you want/need: Flash, shockwave, QT, etc.

I still am not sure what the problem is especially since you say you have tried it on multiple computers at multiple locations. Lokk for common apps such as anti-virus or the like and turn them off before install and downloads.
