One of the guys in our snowmobile club has a Mahindra and has really liked it. The dealer he bought it from was very small but good. I guess Mahindra change the requirements for orders or how many on the floor at a time, and he had to drop it. Now, a dealer 30 miles away picked it up, but they already have NH, and Kubota.
never seem to mention Mahindra?

If you are comfortable with the Mahindra and you like the dealer and feel he will be around for the long run then get it. Again make sure your dealer is in it for the long haul. Get what you like

When I went tractor hunting last summer I went to all the "big three" dealers. I left each place with a promise that they would come out and look at my trade in. I'm still waiting. The "Joes used cars & tractor" guy I bought from has been selling tractors for 70 years and decided the "big three" were not the companys he wanted to deal with anymore. He's lived up to the promises he made.

This is the kind of reason that many people don't suggest some of the off brands. You can mix a loader and mower on any NH, Kubota, Deere - infact on many models you can even have a backhoe all at the same time. In my mind Mahindra is defentialy the best of the 3rd tier brands, they look pretty good on a spec sheet, but they have ways to go before fit, finish, and smooth operation are up to par with the major lines.

I think you misinterpreted Andil's post, Mr. Messick. I believe he's considering swapping from the mmm to the rfm because the mmm is considerably more expensive than a rfm.
You can have the loader and the mmm mounted on the tractor at the same time.
Personally, I pull the loader off before I mow, because I don't want the front tires digging in during tight turns. But that's just me.
BTW, I don't mean to offend, but this is the second time this week someone has had to correct you regarding misinformation in a Mahindra post. I understand that you deal primarily with other brands, but do you have a personal bias against Mahindra?
I like all tractors. This fall I talked a co-worker into purchasing a Deere 2210 over an x585, and the autumn before I helped the plant manager of the company I work through the process of buying a Case DX45. A good tractor is a good tractor, and I don't try and sway a person interested in a CNH, Kubota, or Deere into purchasing a Mahindra just because that's what I have. I also do my best to refrain from commenting on tractors I know nothing about, like Montana for instance. I certainly don't disparage them out of hand.

Mahindra isn't being singled out. It's a phase all new to the US brands go thru. I remember a time when Kioti wasn't mentioned; now they're becoming a major player here.

Mr. Messick, In my search for a new tractor, I have narrowed it down to 2 lines. Kubota and Mahindra. Of the tractors I have seen by both, I see NO difference in fit and finish between the too. Both are finished nicely, but the mahindra sheetmetal seems to be stonger, or at least more reenforced. I think they are equal in the finish aspect. I would lean towards the Kubota because of reputation, but I'm sure that was in question in the late 70's when they were new to the market also. The Kubota's do have more bells and whisles on their machines, but that isn't necessary to me.
I base this opinion on looking at both the machines. Have you looked at the Mahindra? MP
