workinallthetime, thanks for the info on the fluids! I will not be towing for another couple months so I will be over the 500 breakin by then. I plan on doing the basic maintinance myself. I had three Mercedes Benz 240 D's over the years and this is the first diesel since then. They were great cars and got me around on a budget. I am looking forward to having this truck for along time and taking good care of it. I am going to look for a mechanics book on this truck. Does anyone know a place on-line to order one for the 07 Duramax and Alison?

usually you can order one a year later, 08 you can get one for your truck. GM does not send us paper manuals anymore so you will have to go with a chilton or something like that.
honestly the only thing you need to be doing is maintenace since it has a 5 year 100,000 mile waranty on the engine,trans,x-fer case and diff. the rest of the truck is 3/36. i think i might know someone who can get you the service manual info as you need it ;)
happy truckin

Very nice truck, I have been a ford guy till Ford started to close down plants and really raising prices. I have a 99 F150 4x4, but after I finish building my house I think I am going to get a chevy. After you get a few miles on it and do some pullin, let us know what you think of that truck.

Again a very nice truck, I want one too......

Thanks, I will let everyone know how it tows.

Thanks. Somewhat accurate to say the truck belongs to the dogs :D . The only reason for the crew cab was for Jack (boxer in pic) and Ruby, our 7 yo female boxer. Those two have no clue how to ride in the bed. The rear seats stay in the down position and covered.

That is a nice crew cab you have there. My dog rides in the back of the extra cab or on the front bench seat next to me. He is my buddy and I take him with me when every I can. I made sure our truck had a front bench seat just for him. On the long trips we can load the exta cab and he can be up front with us. I think he likes to supervise my driving...he is quite a a character!:)

What kind of fashion statement are you trying to make with those pants, shorts, or whatever those would be called?

The factory service manuals can be had from Helm Inc. They're not available for the 07's yet. They are kind of expensive but LOTS of info, substantially more than Chilton.

Here's the link:
