Congratulations, I bought one a few weeks ago and it is great so far. I always had shuttle shift before so I wasn稚 sure I壇 like the hst but now I wouldn稚 go back. My use is mainly as a forklift and occasional driveway/land grading . I don稚 recall ever needing to brake steer on my previous tractors so the pedal layout doesn稚 bother me.
Yes - remove loader frame! But one good first step is to paint the dipstick ring handle florescent yellow/red/orange... your preference so that it is at least easier to see.
I use a flashlight to see the area and locate the ring. Then I'm able to guide my hand in there "blindly" to grab it. Then I use the flashlight to locate the tube and guide the dipstick back to it and in. Still not "easy" per se... but it works for me. Do it daily and it should become easier by way of muscle memory.
Congrats on getting the 1626! I got one of his little brothers the other day, eMAX 22 with a loader, it needed to be small enough to go in my garage, low clearance 6 1/2 foot overhead doors.
I noticed some acid seepage around battery caps so I checked charging voltage. 14.8 at everything above idle so mine is back at dealer for a possible alternator. I would rather get it right now than deal with the aftermath down the road.
On the oil topic I wonder if a guy could build a tube extension with a 90 degree turn and longer dipstick
