Yeah....I once did all that labeling but I've gotten lazy over the years. HA!!! It is always a good idea to label BUT with the way we eat meat when it is available, there's really no need to label cuz it isn't around long enough. I will not get to hunt much and wanted to take this deer for the trip coming up. I have devoted most of the back-straps and such to jerky.....but it'll probably not make it to the trip if I make it now. HA!!!

As for bow hunting....I can help you in that area as much as you have helped me with my fantastic lil' blue tractor. I left it over on the huntin' place by the way. It isn't covered but I did put a plastic fertilizer bag over the gear shifts where the hydrolic/transmission plug is so that rain won't get in. I've been meaning to bring it home but haven't gotten around to that or welding the broken connector to one of my bush hogs.

As you like being a "self fix-it kind of guy" you'll probably appreciate this. I service my own bows, fletch my own arrows and even build bows so if you'll look at my Darton closely, you'll see that my string is green. it is green because I made my own bow string from 65lbs Spider Wire. HA!!!! It is the BEST bow string I've ever had and has shown no sign of wear since I made it. Anyway, I do hope you'll pick up bow hunting or at least archery. It is a great sport/pass-the-time with the family and a true adventure when successfully meeting the challenge of bagging a deer with string and stick.

Well, I'm turning in now. Both girls are home from church. Didn't feel like going tonight but will catch the last two nites of the Bible Conference tomorrow and Wed. We are always busy at the Lindsey's with hunting, church or ball game after ball game. HA!!! Oh yeah...almost forgot to tell you: I friend of my son's friend took a really nice 11 pointer with a 17" inside spread last weekend with his bow. Now that is not too shabby a deer around here.

Thanks for the offer. We probably best to continue this conversation in a different forum within this site as our hunting subject is not tractor related but can't help it.:eek:

This was one big doe that ended up being packaged like you see below. it took good 4 hrs to complete. We're not huge meat eaters at all and eat very small portions of meat but lots of veggies and other compliments.

Same to you and the rest of the folks here. My favorite time of the year. I'm heading to Dubuque, IA to see my son play NCAA sweet 16 soccer.
