Well, those guys at Fredricks can't be stopped. They found a guy closely associated with them to bring my 2210d to me on Friday. 96 hours after I ordered it they got it to me 700 miles away. Right on time I took delivery and drove it home. Absolutely world class delivery and initial interaction with Fredricks.
The tractor is beautiful. It runs great and the Lowery cutter runs great after I checked all grease and oil was in place.[it was] I struggled to level out 3pth and cutter but got it finally. bmavrick, it has a 2T90 engine. The manual says to run cutters in 1st pto gear only, but I noticed you mentioning using 2nd pto and keep rpms down. Is that an option with this little 2 cylinder? It is super strong by the way.
I run a 250 acre wildlife/cattle operation[75 acres to mow in mosaic patterns, trail cutting and multiple small food plots]I will be trying to take care of this thing while working it to the max. Already have 2 hours on it.

your going to mow 75 acres with a 2210:eek:

I dont think my pto gaurd on the Jbar ever had a chain, a place for one. but it spins as it wants and sometimes doesnt. One of the bell ends is a little whacked out and broken but falls back in place as its the cutter end. Its not that big a deal. You can see them spinning to stay out of. I guess if you have like a long scarf on and hang in near the spinning PTO you can get caught in it or dangle you boot and laces over it. But you really should not be near it spinning?? I sometimes will step on mine while spinning down but dont go anywhere near the pto shaft untill it stops...thats just crazy!

Yea, 75 acres, but I have 10-12 plumb thickets, some briar patches for wildlife, pecan and mesquite trees mixed in this pasture and it is really about 40 acres overall to mow. I did 10% this weekend. It is not farmed so no pressure. I mow trails and other strips/plots on an additional 175 acres and I suppose that overall, I will mow 75 acres a year. I am on the edge of dry Texas scrub and East Texas grassland. I can mow fairly fast, but I do anticipate 75+ hours a year mowing. I will likely put 100 hours on the tractor this year. The LMC 500 Clipper will be tested for sure.
I will need to study and adhere to scheduled maintenance on this tractor for sure.

SWEET !

As for the 3pt hitch, if the lower arms have additional side holes you can move the two lift arms to those holes to allow the lower arms to hook up with the implements. I had to do that after taking delivery. Also, when I had visited Fredricks, I picked up an aditional lift arm that can adjust. Thus, for right and left are adjustable. This makes the box blade tilt even more. ( I can make ditches really easy now.)

Glad you got the 2T90. It's a little stronger than the 2T80. It may be the engine piston stroke distance as the pistons are the same diameter. The John Deere 650 2cly uses the 2T80. So parts should be alright to still find down the road.

As for the tiller running with the PTO at a higher rpm, did you ask Fredricks what PTO speeds your machine is capable of. Bobby or your sales person can forward that into to you. My YM2610 has 4 PTO speeds. If yours only has 3 PTO speeds, chances are the second one may be a bit too fast.

Yes, you will love that tractor very much since it behaves just like NEW.

Can you elaborate . Pics maybe? thx

The part would look like this to a certain extent, but TSC's part will not work for the Yanmars nor the New Holland/Ford either. Thus, Fredricks has the right one(s).

CountyLine® Lift Arm Leveling Assembly - Tractor Supply Co.

Once you have both sides with the 3-point leveling lift arms, take one to lower all the way and the other to highest setting. Now, the box-blade or the blade is tilted at an extreme to make a ditch side. Reverse to make the other side.

If the ground is dry and harden, I cheat first by taking my rototiller down the ditch path with a few passes. This allows the tractor blade enough reach to start the ditch making.

The process is rather simple making a ditch. The big question when you are done, where to put the dirt. lol
