Today must be bring new tractor home day. and of course right off the trailer it had to get the test. picked up Escort engine/tranmission off ground; no problem.Test 1 complete and passed. Test 2- lifted a big concrete slab up about 4 foot square by 3"- passed. Test 3-lift up back of car;we used a test subject escort,96 year, picked up 5 feet -no problem. test passed. Test 4- lifted guy up in bucket 5 foot from garage ceiling-13' high ceiling, didnt fall out. test passed. He was happy test passed. Test 5 - drove to another freinds dump truck,raised bucket at side-it will clear with just top board off,really clear with both boards off. Test passed.
So far so good. my back is having a party !!! no more fighting engines on dollies or cranes over my uneven concrete floor . I got one pic so far cause I was having to much fun to remember to take pix.

Yep but I dont have to pay my lawyer. Today it moved 4 more engines and 3 transmissions,dumped small trailer full of dead car trans/parts;my back is having a party.Previously if I moved 2 engines by hand with eng. hoist/prybar method, my back was done for next day at least. Weds. I give it a good test-big block olds & chevy motors. Up to now its only been 400lb 4 cyls. Testing continues.......
weather has been rainy/wet so gotta wait to drive it to the park and start digging/moving dirt.

I keep forgetting to take pix and today my phone got wet and is drying out.
But todays 2 tests results: 1 pass 1 fail -
Test 1 - tried to pick up front end of escort car(with eng/trans in car) with bucket- FAIL (nutz)
Test 2 - pick up big block engine -Passed
1 out of 2 oh well, but did kinda 3rd test raised bucket,came to side of car and hit right above door height - looks like it'll roll one over on side o.k. lifted it off ground 2 feet, so guess I'll keep it a while. or how much can a 2320 bucket lift....?

Man, you really like lifting stuff. Check out the JD website, look under specs for your machine and it will tell you the approximate lifting capacity of your FEL. I can tell you though, sometimes these little buggers will lift more weight than they have *****. Just be careful and have fun.

I like lifting things NOW. before it is old pull motor with engine hoist- thats ok. then try to move it to back of garage or out in lot over old concrete or asphalt that isnt smooth. that required push,jam prybar under back of hoist,lift,slide,drop:repeat as needed till at destination. That part not o.k. it's nice now tho,hook chain to motor,hook chain to bucket,push little lever -engine goes up,down and drive whole thing over crappy garage floor .ooooh and itll dig holes and loads other stuff too. my back thinks it's sitting on beach in Florida.
