Just wanted to say thanks for all the input.

I have been lurking on this forum for a couple of weeks reading and reading. I was trying to decide between a Kubota BX2350 and a JD 2305 for a bit of time but there was really no decision. All the tractors on the family farm were always Deere. Plus my arms were not long enough to reach the Bucket control for the Kubota, I like the control location much better on the Deere as well as the drive pedals.

The Kubota sales pitch was "we are cheaper then the Deere” Well they came down but in the end they were only about $300 less after all the negotiations between dealers.

So, I now have had the 2305 for about 4 days and I love it save for two issues.

1. the hydraulic hoses seem to come pretty close to the ground, how to I get them out of the way?

2. the top link on the 3 point hitch seems to be a little long. Got that solved by finding a shorter one but I plan to rent some implements, figure I have two options, cut the pto shaft or get the "pat's" or other quick link extensions for the lower arms. This should solve both problems.

With this machine I was able to take out 10 juniper stumps in about 10 minutes each and then level the whole area out with the box blade.

the work done with this in two hours would have taken 2 weekends of full time work by hand to dig and that is with the winch on my jeep to help pull.

Outstanding machine.

One thing I have done routinely on my former 2210 was to use "quick plastic tie raps" and bundle the hydraulic hoses up tight/remove all unnecessary slack out and get that towards the loader arm and not allow the hoses to hang so low under the right foot pedal.

Hi:

I had the same issue with my 2305's center link. I found a shorter one and it works fine now. I did eventually get Pat's easy change system also.

I did not have any issues (yet) with any of the PTO shafts on anything I used on it. I mainly wanted the shorter center link to better level the implements and to pull them way up when I loaded the 2305 on a trailer. (Otherwise I'd drag the implement on the ground going up the ramp).

Well I've used my 2305 for almost 180 hrs now, of which 75% has been loader work. The hydrolic hose height has never been an issue. If you give the hose loop over top the loader mount a good tug to get rid of the slack, it doesn't hang down at all, I find.

If ground clearance is the concern, I'd say the location of the hyd oil filter is a more of a factor. I don't know where it is on Kubota though. There are aftermarket skidplates you can get, but I haven't done the homework yet.

Good luck on your choice.. which ever you choose, you'll be happy. They are awesome machines!

PS> If you plan to do a lot of loader work, position of the SCV lever will be a big factor. The positioning on the 2305 is perfect!

Thanks for the feedback.

I will try to pull the hoses up more in the bucket area. Maybe they came down when I took off the loader I will try and loop them a little more.

Learned a lot lurking here.

You are going to like the 2305. I have about 60 or so hours on mine. It is perfect size for just about any project.

got my 2305 w/FEL in October. In 4 hours i've done what would have taken 2 weekends without it.
This tractor is great!
