Backhoe New 2310 - Tweaked backhoe mount?

Yep, that's it... pretty slick.

If you look in my second picture above, you'll see the adjustable top link sitting straight up & down in the center-- that piece stores right there by placing the lower ball end in a hole on the frame, then simply screwing the adjustment so it puts enough pressure on it (lengthwise) to hold it in place.

I think in the last pic you can see the hydraulic return line(s) coupled together as jaybrad noted.

It works well for those of us who often say to ourselves, "@#^^%$#%$#!! Where the ---- did I put those parts last year??":D

Thanks guys, I appreciate that. I sure have learned a lot from this site. I had pretty much decided on the Massey, but now I'm positive it has all the features I want. I've been talking to a Bobcat salesman here. It would be nice because they are a good dealer (not to mention closer), but the CT122 is $6000.00 more and probably bigger than I need. From what I've been seeing here, the GC seems more than adequate for my needs. I also notice that compared to the other brands, there seems to be a lot less "issues" mentioned about the GC's.

GC 2310 issues/solutions so far after one year of use (100 hrs);

Hit the corner of the house with an outrigger. Wake up and pay attention!
Flat rear tire, leaky rim weld. Dealer swapped me one off a new tractor.
Flat front tire, leaking around the bead. Bought a tube and installed it.
Blinker switch. Replaced under warranty.
Steering wheel bushings. Replaced under warranty, try not to use the steering wheel as a grab bar.
Contaminated Hydraulic oil. Trim vent tube so it won't suck up water.
Can't get enough seat time. Create more projects.

The dealership has been awesome! I hope it continues after the warranty lapses.

Gee, Jim, that's quite a list.

I got mine in June '08 and have ~ 70 hours on the clock. The only warranty issue I've had is the loader float control. It seems to work OK when backdragging, but pops out when using the loader going forward. I'll get it resolved before the warranty runs out.

Other stuff - 2 days after delivery, I broke the loader rod (hit it with my leg when getting off the tractor). Then a month or so later, I tore one of the tie rod boot thingies. I sort of cracked the plexiglass light cover thing, but that will be easily fixed with some super glue.

Oh, I did kind of put a little bit of red paint from the snow blower on my black car a couple weeks ago. But I think that will buff out. Maybe.

I have called the dealership with questions from time to time and have always found them to be great - and a couple weeks ago, I met a guy with a 2310 who has > 300 hours on his and he's still a happy customer of Waterman's.

Today the temps were above 50, so there was serious snow melting going on. Odds are we'll get another snow storm or two, but it's sure nice to be at the time of year where it melts quickly. :D

Thanks for the info on taking the backhoe off, and all the great tips on the 3 point hitch. Now I'm nervous about taking the backhow off.

I did go with the thumb on the backhoe and from the little I've used it so far, it was a smart investment.

Just don't be in a hurry the first time you try it and try to be on level ground; disconnect, drive straight forward, then drive straight back and reconnect.

After a couple of times, you'll be a pro.

The thumb is a great addition. The more you use the BH, the more you'll be glad you have it. I am.

Mike, I'll add my echo to jay-- level ground is very important, as I found out... saves a lot of frustration!
