Okay, it's getting light again on Day Two. Should we worry yet? I have visions of Paul's tractor sitting on his tractor surrounded by the trench he dug...wondering how to get home. It's not cold enough for him to have gotten himself frozen to the seat! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Ok OK I`ll post before you guys call the search and rescue /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif . Good service is right. Bob delivered the tractor and took his time going through it with me . Even though it was sunday and a only a couple of days before xmas. I`m sure he didnt have all his shopping done yet /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif . Well I went and scooped up some gravel I have and filled in a couple of pot holes on the road. That was much easier than it used to be (shovle gravel into little garden tractor dumpcart then rake it into the holes). The problem with that is it didnt allow me to dig with the backhoe !! So I needed a bigger job. There is an area on top of a hill that I want to access in the future so that where I headed. (also it is away from the house,shed or anything else I might accidentaly destroy) I decieded on the best route (grade ,obstacles,etc) and started. I some areas I cut into the bank and the filled on the lower side. There were pile of rock and dirt in the way (I had dumped them up there last year). So when it was too much for the loader (angle of attack, embedded rocks) I turned the tractor around and attacked with the backhoe /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. I was determined to reach the top by dark!! When I crested the summit /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif (you would think I`m describing a trip to everest) it was quite satifying. Although when I look back it looks like I hardly did any work. But now I can drive my tractor up there with no worries of rolling over. I want to acces that area because I`m going to plant some pine trees to replace the maples my neighbor cut down (without permission) It seems he wanted a lake view so he cut trees on my property to get it . He used to have a 3 season view (leaves off the trees) now he will have a no season view (evergreens) /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. It is raining here this morning so I guess I will force myself to go get some last minute items. However if it wasnt the day before xmas I would be out there with raingear /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. I will take some pics later if it clears up it was too dark last night to get a good pic. So I just came in took a shower and watched the Jets squeak out another win!! woo-hoo maybe they will make it this year finally !!!

If you are getting the rain and shall freeze,your sled run will be out of this world...better get some hay bales for those corners.

I has been unseasonally warm up here. Thomas is in the lebanon/Hanover area which is consistently cooler than Nashua (where my office is located), but he's certainly right that for this time of year 28 would be a welcome temp. The 30's and 40's we are seeing are very odd indeed.

Dad burn it! Being a member of the accuracy police I now feel compelled to correct the temperature data for Lebanon, NH. This is really more work than I bargained for.
