If you are happy with the loaner see if you can make a deal with NH and the dealer so you can keep it.

I thought of that but it's a bare bones tractor. It would still have to return to add the 3 rear remotes and the front extra function remote, this one has none. It also needs a radio, rear wiper, tires loaded and deluxe trans upgrade. So I'm hoping when ours returns all is well. Third times a charm right?????

I wonder what the NH representative will say when you return the loaner with a extra 200 hours on the meter! I'd even use the loaner to go to church and the grocery store.....

Quick Update
The tractor returned a week ago but I wanted to run it a bit to see what happened. I've run it about 20 hours since it returned.
There have been no issues with the pto operation what so ever, it seems to work fine now.
There have been no issues with the transmission shifting delays or staying in forward, except it did lockup a few times when using the loader into the manure pile(concrete floor) while loading. I think this might be related to another self protection mode of the CVT Transmission (the NH Service Rep talked to me about) and 4x4, as it only happens when in 4x4 and on the concrete pad going into the pile to hard. If I use down pressure on the loader and lift the front end off the ground then shift from forward to reverse it releases. I'm curious as to what will happen when frost is out and I use it in the sand pit.
The power steering works ok until after it is run over an hour or so and the oil has heated up, then the gurgling /cavitation noise and steering stalling returns, even at 1500 rpm. The dealer had me check for loose suction lines to the pump and I found a few (possibly pulling air into the system???) and loose bolts on the power steering pump. That has seemed to help but I need to run it more after tightening them to know for sure.
I don't have the paperwork yet but they told me they replaced the Trans control unit, the key switch, two solenoids and the power steering (box/motor??), along with over filling trans with 3 gallons of Hydraulic oil (this was from the NH Service Rep).
I'll post back after I run it some more, right now I have to go get rid of more of that white stuff:thumbdown: I thought it was spring???

Gents, got the CVT upgrade today. 30 minutes later was done. Did an hour of box blade work and I must say. WHAT a HUGE difference. Everything improves. Response and control is so much better. Why they even offer standard since it is a $60 upgrade is beyond me. Thanks again for pointing me down this path. I liked the tractor in basic. Think I will LOVE it now with enhanced features. Have yet to try anti stall or cruise but look forward to it.

I hope the anti stall helps with the tractor continuing to power forward when in engaged in loader work under power. Doubt it. But I'm getting used to that

I also do not know why NH doesn't offer the upgrade on all the CVT transmissions as standard. Have 3 ranges instead of 2 is a huge improvement and gives you much more choice depending on the job being done. Congratulations......enjoy!!! :)

I agree, it should be standard. The Boomer 8N came standard with the 3 range, anti-stall, and cruise.

Quick Update

It's been 3 weeks now since our tractor came back and the tractor now has 207 hours on it. The PTO seems to be working ok. But the power steering is getting worse. It completely stops working sometimes while using forks to move equipment off our pallet storage racks. You have to climb the steering wheel to make it steer. I found small bubbles/foam on trans dip stick, so there is possibly a suction leak somewhere. The transmission is starting to act up again with long delays while shuttling form forward to reverse and there has been a snapping cracking noise from the transmission along with a jerking motion while backing. I talked to the dealer and he contacted the service rep asking him to contact me direct to try and figure out what is going on. I haven't heard back from him so the dealer suggested I call the 800 number again to help get things moving again. I contacted the NH 800 number and they said they would look into it again and get back to me on Monday or Tuesday.

The nightmare continues.

I'm glad it has worked out great for you! I know while we had the loaner with the basic trans package I really missed the deluxe features. Did you end up installing the upgrade your self? I wish our tractor worked out as well as yours.

Is there a "lemon law" for tractors? I am not one to promote frivolous law suits but in your case this appears to be going too far.
These are not cheap tractors and one should expect better performance. Maybe a lawyer could suggest you getting a new unit that works.
