I was intrigued by the "iMatch" 3 point - went to the John Deere parts and pulled up the 4210 - and it was already on line, went to the 3 point section, and there was the guick hitch. Both the top link and the side links have hook like ends and the parts breakout shows each having a ball of some type below the hook. My guess the hook drops over the ball (thats already attached to the implement at the point the 3 point swivel ball would be) and lock on some how. Parts are not broken down very far. Kind neat hook up idea - alternative to the guick hitches.

Halsey,

Explain the difference for us novices between the new JD system and the other quickhitch systems. Thanks, I don't have a picture of this in my mind.

From what I gleened from the online parts catalogue, the new quick hitch is part of the the top link and side links, not a seperate attachement, like other quick attachments like the Freedom Hitch, Speco, etc, that you attach to the top link and arms thus making them a unit, this does not connect the three arms. The top link and side arms remain seperate and adjustable individually in the "iMatch" Several weeks ago someone post a new quick hitch that was being marketed that attached to the end of the side links, but permitted each side link to function independently of each other, this is simular to that. Not sure how the attach by looking at the parts catalog. Hope this helps. Tried to copy it from the JD part web site but it wouldn't work.

Thanks. It's all Greek to me right now, but I want to purchase some kind of quick attach when I order the tractor and want to make the right choice. Guess I'll learn more when I can see one. Hope the dealer has one when I test drive. A local dealer said he is willing to bring a 4310 to my acerage when they get one. I'll be posting a lot when that happens and I place the order.
