New 45HP Economy Line New Holland?`

My NH LS-45 HST lawnmower has a significant whine and has had one for the last 15 years of use. It is just a re-badged Toro Wheelhorse 268H with blue plastic. Runs great, even with the whine.

Every JD hydro I've driven - including my current JD 110 TLB - whines! I wear foam ear plugs, too. I can still hear it..

I don't know if "whines" is the correct way to describe what mine does.

It makes noises like a muffled voice speaking to me from another room. I can hear the voice, but I can't make out the words. Ghosts anyone?

Well if thats all the better that they can build a 29,000 thousand dollar tractor including the loader, its time to get my money back! I'm going to try a different brand! Thanks guys for the info!

How about a different transmission? I recently test drove a cabbed tractor of a different colour, which was hydro, adnd could not stad the whine. Test drove a shuttlke shift, and decided that is what I am plannig on buying.

What a sweet difference.
