If I ever get my utility cab tractor, I will take a look at them. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Definately more agressive than traditional turf tires. :)

I do hear you they aren't a tillage tires with huge paddles etc. But they are used all over Europe in Ag applications. See photo for proof. Well established fields, haying, material handling, manure, hay, feeds harvested material etc. Remember too the Europeans usally have smaller fields and must travel between them. They therefore need a tire that has the ability of road speed, up to 40mph (think JCB Fastrac) and therefore the ability to self-clean quickly as to not Junk up the road for cars etc.

As I said not a tillage mud tire but its is many many other things. Personally I am glad just have some options other than being stuck with what has been a fairly stagnant market with little new school choice. Last time I inquired for tires and bemoaned the lack of choice and size...I was basically told "that's it you don't need anything more...work with what we give you."

Nice chatting....

Dave

I can see that the bigger tires on the bigger tractors get bigger spacing, so that would help them clean out better than a smaller version.

I have yet to find a tractor tire that does it all.

Hopefully you find they treat you well and you can let us know how they do off road. If they work good, I'll definately consider them on my utility tractor.

Isn't the JCB Fastrak about the coolest tractor in the world? :)

Builder...we will see how they work...and I will definitely update.

Glad someone else shares my appreciation for the Fastrac!

I tried like heck to justify owning one...but even the smallest is just too large. I have written to them asking for a smaller version...say about 100 HP or so...keep it under 10K-lbs and allow it to use class one implements. If so sign me up. Dig the dual seats, all-wheel steer, equal size tires and front and rear 3pts and PTO's God I need to go take a cold shower LOL!

Here's a nice shot of a Fastrac...in case other readers aren't sure what we are lusting about.

Closest thing to a tractor & truck I've ever seen.

SuperDuty --- Man... just checked out your pics! Great lookin' shoes on that pretty green thing!!

Nokia is a big presence up here for tires on cars and trucks. I've had 'em on my rigs for 4-5 years now.

Didn't know they made equipment tires, too.

Maybe look into them after I put a couple of year's on my JD 110.

Good looking photos by the barn.
I don't think sticking mud will be any trouble for you with those tires. Maybe in clay but not in the gravel glacial till soil you have. You'll be on grass anyway.
Does Firestone make a newer tire that is somewhat similar to the ones you have?
Great looking 5525!

Very nice tars!

Dargo, I thought this might bring you back! I blew out the front R1 on the 5420 with a full bucket of wet sod. I think it only had about 15PSI in it. I air them up to max now for heavy loader work. I think its about 35-40. Dargo, I called the tire company 'cuz I don't know how much ether to spray to "blow" them back on...

thanks, really happy with the looks of machine and tires so far.

not sure about the Firestones, but none of my research found anything even close to this tire including the size.

Now, you do know that I have done that before. :D I didn't do that on this tractor tire, but I had a skid steer tire jump about 4' in the air off the barn floor once using that method. I liked to nearly messed my Dickies that time!

But, hey, it seated though! :)
