Does the rotation for the seed plate come from the rear wheel via the two flat bars? I'm not familiar with this planter and trying to understand.

Exactly. The flat bars turn like an old. Locomotive and turn the gear attached to the seed plate. I'm puzzled too. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined and I see no way to adjust it. :(

The bell cranks that are pinned to the axles to attach flat bar were probably offered in different lengths, by swapping different throw length from front to back you could change seed spacing.

Thank you so much. Now to try and figure out a place in the world that sells something like that..... And what do you think? Longer armed? I would think shorter would be faster spinning, thus making the seed plate spin faster.

Need small on drive wheel, long on driven end. Should be easy to make with several holes on each end so you can adjust.

Surplus Center sells sprockets and roller chain pretty cheap if you wanted to go that route.
