Exactly. It's what I'd been wishing someone would do for a number of years. Would I have made a few of the new features even better - you bet.

But honestly, there is no machine that competes directly with the new standard Bs nor with the deluxe Bs from any of the other manufacturers. JD and CNH have some machines that fall somewhere in between, but it seems to me that I can get a machine better suited to my needs by going orange. If JD had a 29 or 30 hp 2x20 with a 3 range hydro, then I'd be looking at it very seriously. But they don't and so they jump from the 2520 to the 3120 in hydro models - there's a lot of void space between those 2 machines. And CNH can't decide on what they're doing in the small compact market for more than a couple of years at a time.

Kubota essentially created the compact market, and even with the 'shortfalls' we all nitpick about, they still are dominating the compact market and make a very good product.

And I really don't think Kubota is going to lose a lot of market share to these so-called up and coming mfrs. The Korean & Chinese machines are certainly not going to do like Toyota did. Kubota is the Toyota of the tractor world in that they've followed similar paths in this country, so trying to say they're going to surrender to the Korean & Chinese mfrs. in 20 years like the domestics have done with regards to Toyota is a bit far fetched. Kubota isn't going to let it happen. But if they do, come back and call me on it in 20 years and I'll eat some crow.

Kubota will do exactly what Toyota did to maintain market share when other low cost producers started building quality vehicles....they'll join them by opening factories in Korea, China etc. Toyota already does this quite successfully. Even Indonesia produces an excellent Toyota minivan not sold elsewhere.

Toyota can make mistakes too. Note they have lost their lock on quality and that the upstarts from Korea are making headway in that dept. Hyundai ranked higher than Mercedes in one of the recent surveys (?CR or Powers) and are within striking distance of Honda and Toyota. Well run tractor companies with lower labor costs and modern factories can definitely give Kubota and JD/Yanmar a run for their money. That is not to say that they will be overtaken anytime soon. GM was not overtaken by Toyota for thirty years or so after it was perfectly clear that Toyota built better more reliable cars.

A very knowledgible group on this thread. Does anyone know when the replacements for the 7610 will be availble? I read somewhere early spring?? Prices??

If kubota continues to build the 7800 that will make 8 models in the B series line up to choose from?

2320,2620,2920,7800,2630,3030......... six models. The same as now. Losing the 7410,7510,7610.

I actually had one dealer tell me he has 3 machines scheduled for January delivery, so he figured it would actually be February. But I've heard that sort of optimism from them before. Another dealer told me probably more like April. No prices yet, but Kubota needs to stay pretty close to the prices of the previous 7 series Bs if they're going to continue with strong sales.

As most of the changes are fine tuning and freshing up of the 7 series and the only major change with cost implications is the 3 speed HST, I'd imagine they won't raise prices very much.

Certainly not up to what a CK20 costs around here for the smaller B series anyway....... What the 2920 will cost is anyone's guess, though I'm thinking probably in the area of what a JD 2520 costs + a bit.

B7800 is in the process of being phased out. I expect the EOL to happen this year.

They will be changing to a more fuel efficient engine but beyond that I do not know anything.
