Saw the Messick's video about the new B2401. Anyone seen one in person? It's a gear tractor, but looks to be a nice tractor. Anyone have one yet?

Haven’t seen one in person yet, but I’m interested. My local Kubota dealer is having an open house this month & Im going to price one out with a backhoe.
Neil said it’s basically a 2601 with a gear trans & the “build my Kubota” app puts it at $3300 cheaper than the 2601.
It’s worth a look.

I have a 5 acre property and I mow about 3, out of the 5. The B-2401 really caught my eye, too. I like the gear transmission as opposed to the HST, for cost alone. That size tractor would, I think, be ideal for 5 acres. The original post was Aug. 12. Somebody's got to have a B-2401 by now, to share some thoughts?

I saw the same thing and it certainly is a very strategic offering from Kubota to hit a price point. The geared trans isn't for everyone but it is an intriguing offer. The thing I noticed, as I am in the market for a BX/B series is the smaller hydraulic capacity on the 2401 vs. 2301/2601.

What is the hydraulic capacity of the B2401? I couldn't find it on the Kubota site and it looks like they haven't added it to their sales brochure yet.

Found the specs here: Pardon Our Interruption

Looks like it's a single stage clutch. Transmission driven PTO with one way clutch.

So they reduced the rated rpm, same engine as the 2601, that accounts for some of the reduced hydraulic output (down to 7.7 total if it was the same pump).

Wish they still did the breakdown between the implement and steering pumps.

Kubota could have stepped up and make the B2401 with the 9x9 transmission sold in Europe, instead of the 9x3.

A shuttle shift is always something nice to have.

I purchased a B2401 3 months ago and have put about 50 hours on it. For me its about perfect. I wasnt interested in HST and initially I was looking at either a B2320 or L2501. I cant speak to the hydraulic flow of the B2401 vs B2601 but it is the same engine and the transmission seems to be the same as the B2320 with 3 range unsynchronized Trans, and a single stage clutch and 2 speed rear PTO. A 2 stage clutch and synchronized trans would be nice but it痴 a price point tractor.
