The most important thing is to buy longer grade 8 bolts. Then use two grade 8 washers to hold the blades. I've had them fly off before this, after the stock washers got worn....scary deal.
We go through too many blades, but we also mow some rough places, so I expect it. I wish I could find some cheaper repalcements.
For finish mowing, you need lift, all of my finish mowers have high lifts on them. But the PT deck isn't baffled, so although lift blades will help, it may never perform like a finish cut mower.
A though would be to get a 72" 3 PT hitch pto mower; then remove the gear box and fit on a hydraulic motor, and mount an adaptor plate to it, and use it with the PT.
