Nice control center. Heat and air I assume ? That gives me a reason to trade in a couple years. Whats your excuse going to be ? Have fun.

Yes, Heat and air along with nice clean air filtration system and Jensen AM/FM system.Front and rear wipers along with alot of very handy mirrors.PTO set-up basically the same as the TC45, just a wee bit stronger and a little heavier.. I have used FEL , pto auger, and tiller so far with great results.I had one set of rear remotes installed for future toys.

An update on the Boomer 4060, R1s do have great traction , but they are brutal on grassy areas , wet or dry. I am getting used to the shifting but proper gear selection , throttle speed , and smooth shifting are going to take a while.
I tell anyone near me to stay well clear!!!!!!! Little rooster tails of sod flying every once in a while.
The loader is much more powerfull than the 45 and the reach seems much longer.( seems much heavier on the front end ). Lotsa practice going to be required by me to smooth that out. I have already re-piled one large manure pile just to get more loader time.
The only thing I do notice is excessive power steering pump noise even when not turning, it seems louder at lower RPMs than higher RPMs. Wondering if the normal sounds of the power steering pump is amplified by the cab.No problems steering as noted by some TC %% owners , just pump seems very noisy. Any thoughts???

The valve for powersteering sits at the base of your steering column and transmits sound right up into the cab. Any vibration of the hydraulic lines is also captured and amplified. I suspect you will just have to learn to live with it.:(

Glad to hear everything is working out, by the way those tires are supposed to rip the earth ;-) you will not need a plow. As far as the steering pump I believe it's due to the cab trapping the sound to tell you the truth have gotten so used to it I don't even think of it and on top of that I always have my earphones on passing the time with music so I don't really hear it but at 340 hours I think it's just a normal sound no damage to my machine or the supposed steering lock that TC 55 & 48 owners reported when the bucket is full and trying to turn the wheel while moving very slow.

Thanks to both of you!! I figured it was that.Just have to turn the tunes up higher?? It will take a while to get used to all the new noises.

Hey wolfgreyt. Glad to see you're enjoying your new tractor. I'm looking at last year's version of the 4060, when it was still T2420. Trying to figure out how much I should be paying. If you don't mind my asking, or it won't get you in trouble ;), how much was that great looking tractor?

+1

I am thinking that your tractor might be more than my Dad would need, but I am of the belief that it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.:D

Up here, the current price depending on dealers in my area is from 39500 to 43500 with Supersuite, FEL is 4500 to 6500 depending on brand name.( Canadian dollars)

Great looking tractor. Doesn't it seem they keep putting the loader bucket out further. It seems if it was closer to the tractor you wouldn't need as much balast in the rear.
