What part of Canada are you in? Beautiful country. Have relatives there.
You gain reach this way though
We are in The Kawartha lakes region of Ontario. That is price without sales taxes federal and provincial( state).
It does have better reach but the bucket is much farther out front or at least seems that way.The 45 HP boomer FEL was a little closer. This one is great for stripping sod( accidentaly

Nice to hear all your comments on the 4060 Boomer.
I have a 1520 since 1989 and it is a wonderful machine I used to do all kinds of things folks said it couldn't do, as It was too small.
Now in 2010, I need to upgrade and I will test drive a 3045 and 3060 tomorrow and make a descision.
The Ford Machine I bought in 1989 has been just Perfect!!!
How can I even look at Green let alone a less expensive "Orange".
Ford /now "New Holland Has been making
Tractors for 100 years....in the USA mostly....
Think I will go with the 4060... want and open platform for now...
Maybe later I will need to get a Cab machine, but I love the out doors for what I do

I just bought a 4060, T-2420, or TC-60 , it is a 4060 now.
I drove the 4060 and a TC-45 (now 3045) at a local farmers.
Th 3045 was Hydro, and with a cab , the Hydro whine was loud...
Dealer said it is a lot quieter in20009 2010 3045.
The EHSS i8s very doable (coming from a guy who had a hydro since 1990.).
The reverer is super. I was almost afraid to reverse with oout stepping on the clutch... but it is seamless.
Also, it is strange toingage the PTO, with out stepping on the clutch. My hydro required stepping on the cluth (even double clutching) to ingage the PTO..
All the small items on my 1999 1520 seam to have been solved!!(and the 1520 is still like new!).
I will get the 4060 machine next week. I can't wait to play with it and see what it can do!
