New Branson 2515

I don't understand why manufacturers can't put all the goodies on smaller tractors. The 2515h will not have tilt or extendable ends on the lower arms. It aggravates me to no end. I want all of the good stuff from the larger tractors. One thing that concerns me is will 25HP be enough to handle a heavier frame and loader??

Maybe ask your ordering dealer if those extendable arms can be ordered as an option with your tractor? We do get pretty spoiled on the Branson line, as a whole bunch of "standard" Branson equipment must be ordered as "optional" add-ons with other brands.

And it really doesn't take much hp at all to just move the chassis around and make the loader go up and down. The most important question on hp is, what attachments are you needing to power off the pto, and how big are they? That is really what drives your individual hp requirements, and that varies greatly between different users.

Where did you get that info? I'm pretty sure the engine is one of the few changes versus the other higher HP models.

Anyways, I've seen dealers saying the it might come out in the end of the month or the next one.

I asked one of the product managers about the tilt and telescoping lift arms. Said that the telescoping lift arms would not be available.

I agree with Slowpoke. 25HP is plenty for loader work and moving the tractor around. Also for pulling a box blade or a leveling blade, should be fine.

Now depending on yours needs and size of PTO driven implements, 25 hp might be on the low side for that size of tractor.

I don't think they offer telescopic arms on any of the 15 series.

Why not just convert to a quick hitch? That is even better than telescopic arms. Don't even have to get off the tractor to hook up to a implement.

I guess I just have a case of the "what ifs". My Dad has a Red Belly Ford that ran a 5 foot bush hog, but not sure if the 2515H would run that since it is a hydro.

Depends on what you are cutting. It will run a 5 foot, you may have to go slower and maybe not take full swaths.

I have the 35 HP model and I have 3 PTO implements for it.

A 60" rototiller with 4 tines per flange, a 52" brush mower and a 4 spade spading machine. I won't talk much about the mower because we use high strength chains instead of blades and it eats a lot more HP that a conventional blade mower, so it's hard to compare both.

The 60" tiller covers the width of my tractor (55") just fine. I have yet to see the tractor bogging down with the tiller. I usually run it with the 540E PTO gear without a single problem. I'm pretty sure I could run a bigger one, but there is not need. I do have a video of it working.

The spading machine, it's very cool to see it working. I got it with another machine a few years back. Here is a nice explanation video: Gramegna Spading Machines - YouTube

I run a 6' brush hog off of 32 pto hp without any problems. Unless the grass is very thick and also higher than the hood (both), I don't have to slow down at all while cutting. I think you'd be fine with 25 hp and a 5' cutter, as long as you're willing to slow down through any really thick tall grass. The added benefit of the hydro trans makes it easy to moderate your tractor ground speed while keeping the engine (and pto) speed at full rpms for mowing.

I just saw the local dealer I bought my 3015H from posted an add that they have a new 2515 in stock.

My closest Branson dealer is 132 miles away. I have a TYM dealer that says he will send the parts and pay for a repair center to fix it. Not sure which one I would choose.
