Branson - 3620H
Hello Everyone,

New to the Branson world and just bought a 3620H. I was wondering if anyone has seen one of these yet. Apparently I'm the first guy on the block with one. About the only thing different on it from a 3520h is it has a 4sp hydro. vs a 3sp on the 3520h. Anyhow I'm impressed with the tractor so far. Posting pic's for those who'd like to see it. 20200925_180457-sm.jpg20200925_105831-sm.jpg20200925_110251-sm.jpg

Nice looking machine!

If Branson is indeed using the same chassis as the new 5520, that means, not only it has 4 ranges instead of 3, it also has synchronized range gears. Two features that no one else offers at the moment and makes it very easy to get in gear.

Congratulations and welcome to TBN and the Branson family! Very nice rig! I am sure it will serve you well for many years to come.

Congrats! Yours has the better loader valve cable routing too, and might also have a regen button that our older models lack. Can you shift the 4 sp range while moving?

I see your top link is stowed. My dealer told me to use a top link when using the backhoe. I take off the hydraulic top link and put on a big turnbuckle style one the dealer provided.

Sweet! Mines a 3520h with a BH76 backhoe! Did many mods to it to make it “just right”. Look around here for tips, mods, improvements, questions, etc! Congratulations, you picked a good color!

That's pretty interesting. Thanks for posting.

Just wondering if the 4 speed hydro has the gear ratios closer together, or did they add a "road gear" as the 4th range?

Haven't tried to shift on the fly yet but it does have the regen button. The loader cable routing is nice and clean with the cables hidden in a channel behind the fender with room for the 3rd member switch wire. I never thought of attaching the top link. Going to look into that. One thing I'd like to re-do is the hydro connections to the back hoe, looking for a cleaner way of doing this. I'm looking at installing the RMK-2 remote kit. I just don't know how that works exactly. Does it allow for a constant flow to the back hoe? Would it restrict the flow? what am I not understanding here? Anyhow that's where I'm at.. Thanks for looking all!

Tighter spacing of the gearing.. Works really nice with the 35 (36?) hp engine.

The factory remotes on my 3725 don't have a detent. You could bungie cord the lever in place.

When I get around to it I will put a mechanical diverter in the backhoe loop to divert the flow to the BH when it's attached. That'd let me get rid of the loop that sticks out when the BH is not mounted.

Would that have been the RMK-2 kit? I thought I read somewhere where the second lever did have the detent.

Found this from the 2019 price list:
RMK2-20 Double Spool RemoteCompatible only with 20 ROPS, 25 ROPS Models (1 Spool Non-detent, 1 Spool Detent) $450 $450 $549

Been there, done that to address the BH open loop system. A big improvement for certain since it gets rid of the extra hoses that gets in the way.

As shown in the image, the lever became a “key” and does not stay on the valve to prevent bumping it out of position. I had the hoses custom made and made a bracket using the existing hardware fittings for the two rear remote spools.

Aquamoose, Did you start with the RMK2-02 kit? Could I get you to post more pictures on your mods? Oh, and which ports are input and output? I'm still not sure where to tap into.

I don’t know what the RMK2-02 kit is. I sourced all the pieces myself to make this mod for the backhoe connection. The valve assemble is a simple “H” with the valve in between to allow bypass to mss as obtain the loop. I didn’t need to pay attention as to which is the input & output because I took notes on which hose from the BH is going to preserve the original flow design. Mark one side of the port and the backhoe side of the hose it’s connected to with tape, sharpie, etc and near the end of the build when putting the hydraulic fitting on, ensure it’s on the same side.

Some more pics...

Note that the valve & fittings have ORB connections. It’s the only type of fitting that permits you to position the orientation of the T fittings when tightened.

In case you’re wondering, the top link never gets in the way even though it may appear to be.

Thanks for the pic's. The RMK2-02 is the kit Branson offers to add the rear valve assy's and levers. I see yours were already there.

If you’re referring to the rear remotes, then those were installed as an option by the dealer at my request. It just mentioned “2 rear remotes” on the invoice at the time of purchase.

Did you try to run the BH on one of those remotes? I understand one of them has the detent that will hold it open. Was there not enough flow? or?

/ New Branson 3620H #19
No, it came with this factory open loop setup. My 2 rear remotes don’t have any detents.

My 15 series has two remotes, one spring to center and one with detent. Interesting that yours doesn't have detent.

Good job on the mod! Very clean installation.
