New BX23-3ph will not raise after newly installed

Help,

My BX 23 was delivered the other day and the delivery man removed the backhoe and reconnected the hydraulic hose couplers back on to each other.

Now, after I assembled the 3ph, it won't raise. I did what the manual said what to do if it doesn't raise("after long term storage or changing transmission oil') and that was to do the "air bleeding procedures." No difference, even after letting it warm up. If I try to raise the 3ph with the hydraulic control, it just makes a little whinning sound.

By the way. When I assembled the 3ph I noticed it did not passively want to lower until I started the engine.

Any thoughts?

Does your tractor have a knob (below and in front of the seat) that locks and unlocks your 3ph?

You have to turn the knob that is located in a forward facing position on the right side just under the seat in a counter clockwise fashion. This will allow it to work properly....

Thanks for the suggestions but still no go. Junkman, I tried the 3ph lowering speed knob both directions and no difference. I think that knob when turned, just changes the speed of the 3ph lowering. I assume the hydraulic hoses on the back need to be coupled together, I did try it when they were disconnected but that didn't help either. When I try raising the 3ph the engine bogs down a little and there seems to be a noise, I think it must be the pump. Not sure what to try next. Any other thoughts or suggestions? Would it have anything to do with the cutting height control knob? I did purchase the mmm but it has not come in yet but I don't see how this would affect anything. The loader hydraulics and everything else seems OK.

check the MMM lever and see if it is in a neutral position. Then turn the MMM knob to "0" and see if this helps. The bogging of the engine indicates that it is trying to work. The rear hoses must be coupled together. Check all hose connections to make sure that one of them didn't pop off. I am having a problem where one will pop apart occasional, I don't know why or how it happens.

Update,
I have tried all of the above suggestions, no effect. I have since removed the rear blade, lowered the 3ph and then started the engine. It now will raise but very slowly, about 1 minute until it reaches the top. This is after it was warmed up and running at about 2/3 throttle. What is going on?

Disconnect the hoses again and then reconnect them. Sometimes they will appear to be fully seated and they won't be.

check the mower hight lever and make sure that it is in a neutral position. I am certain that there is some lever that isn't in its proper position, because of the "strain" that you could hear. It is trying to operate, but something is interfering with the operation. If fact, check everything and have the manual in front of you. There must be something that you are missing.. I know because I have been there... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
