Tractor
Kubota LX3310
Good day today. I picked up a new Sure Trac 14' 14k lb dump trailer. It's very well made, great fit and finish. I opted for the scissor lift, wireless remote, spare tire and best tarp kit. The only thing I might do is have a set of ramps made just like the originals, but in aluminum, getting too old to be lifting those heavy ramps, LOL. After picking up the trailer I drove to the Kubota dealer and picked up my new BX25D. Options were factory thumb, Bxpanded belly guard, 3 pt hitch, and Land Pride grapple. Trailer is rated at 3600 lbs empty, I figure the BX and accessories was about 3000, so 6600 lbs loaded. It pulled just fine behind the Expedition, it has factory tow package and rear air suspension. Actually got 10.9mpg on the 160 mile trip home.

Yea, appears that Bxpanded doesn't sell to dealers. I purchased it and had it shipped to the dealer for installation. Figured it would be a good idea for them to install as they were installing the grapple. I've got a set of wheel spacers that I'll install, and have my Christmas list of other Bxpanded goodies. LOL..

Sounds like you did it right--buying the whole package! Good luck with the new machine.

yep... well done. Especially jealous about your trailer!

Christmas list? Isn't that enough? :D

I've wanted a tractor for years but knew I would need a larger trailer, and before either I needed a new shed large enough for the tractor. So i finally made the move and last week my new shed was built. Funny how that works..

I am still debating on my shed but I do have an undercover storage area under my deck. Used metal roofing on the underside. As far as a trailer is concerned... yeah I really want one, but without one my tractor stays at home and is not subject to friends and family wanting to borrow it! Too many of my tools get trashed or 'lost' as a loaner. No one takes care of them as good as they should. Really frustrating because it makes me feel like the 'bad' guy for not loaning anymore.

Wow'. Tractor, trailer and shed all at once. You should be set for a while now. How big is the shed?

My shed is small in comparison to others here, I currently have only 2 acres, perhaps 2/3 acre in grass, but try to maintain the wooded area. Don't forget I waited a long time for this, and everything was hinged on the others. I would start thinking about a tractor, but then needed another trailer, but then needed another shed for the tractor, etc., etc., etc., for years and it always got postponed, Shed is Amish built onsite. Only 12x20 but sufficient for my needs here. Built to 'garage' specs, floors on 2x6 and 12" on center. Looking forward to the next (retirement) house in the next 1-2 years where my cars and other toys will prevail. LOL

Well I'm glad it at finally came together for you. You will get many years of enjoyment out of your BX. My gazebo is Amish built and I couldn't get over how good the quality is compared to what you get at the " box stores".

Thanks guys. And thanks for the help with my questions along the way. I'll install the wheel spacers this weekend and I placed another order with Bxpanded today, hooks and a Pihrana blade. Prior to mulching this spring, I'll get a bucket expander and a ratchet rake. Need all the accessories. LOL.

Wow I wish that I could do and have all of things that you are doing with your new tractor but I don't live in the best place. I live in condominiums right in the middle of St. Albans city and on about 1- 1 1/2 acres so not much to do with the BX where I live. I wish that me and my dad had the money to spend on our bx like you do. I'm jealous of all of you!!

Congrats! You have a very good setup with the BX and the dump trailer. Have fun and merry Christmas!

Now you need to go buy a new diesel dually truck and your set!
Nice set up

LOL, don't think I didn't consider a new F350 PSD. I'm a car guy (Paxton Viper, original early 66 Shelby GT350, original 68.5 428CJ, original 70 Boss302 car) and have been thinking about a car hauler. More challenged with room than anything. Will likely wait for the next house.
