New CK 35 HST

   / New CK 35 HST #21
Well, I picked it up Saturday. It is a 2014, and it is tier 3.
Thinking I should have went with a 48" mower, the 60" looks huge to me.

Congrats and welcome to the Pack!! You're going to love this tractor. It's a great all around work horse. Your 60" brush hog will be no problem at all to operate, you'll soon wish you had a 72" instead!!

Since it's hydrostatic, the mower won't be a problem, as long as you can easily lift it, which shouldn't be a concern. The advantage of the hydro is that you don't have a limited number of gears. If it starts bogging down, just lift your foot a little. You'll be happy with the bigger mower.
I have the same HP on my DK 35 gear drive and I'm running a 6' brush mower, 7' rear finish mower, 6' tiller, 6' boxblade, 7' rear blade, 9' snowplow with no problem.

I hAve a question for y'all. My dealer mentioned going with a 32" post hole auger, as you may run into lift limitations when using a 44" model. What is everyone's experiences or thoughts on this?

Actually you have 4 more HP than the CK35. The CK35 has 34, the DK35 has 38.

The tiller must would bog the CK down a little, and maybe the brush cutter, but other than that no problem. I have a 7' rear blade and the CK doesn't even know it's back there.

I have an older model 2001 DK 35. It has the 1.6 Litre 34 HP. Same as the CK 35.
The later model DK 35 SE went to a 1.8L 38 HP engine

I have a full size post hole digger with 12" auger I use on a CK25, R4's. Clearance is not a problem. Just use the lowest pivot point on the tractor to raise the boom the highest.

It is easy to screw a post hole digger into the ground where the tractor can't lift it and that is with a 12 inch auger.. Go easy and lift the dirt out often.

OK, does the SE ending designate the power boost and other refinements that seem to have been made in the mid 2000s?

There were several small refinements, Joystick location etc. I didn't know about HP change.

My 2001 DK 35 has the model 3A165D engine 100.5 CI (The CK 35 has a model 3A165lmw 100.5 CI engine).
Not sure what the differences are. But they are the same size and power.
The 35 SE model went to a 111.43 CI 38 HP engine.
I think the 35SE model got a little more hydraulic flow, suspension seat, flip open hood design, different loader, different joystick location , HST option, Etc.
