Thankyou for the welcome home.
I borrowed a plow today and went accross the front in one directon and then another, then used a seven foot rake to flatten it all out.
After lunch I started digging up trees along the fence row, getting it cleaned out. The Kioti really works hard and the fel is great.. I only bogged it down a couple times to where it shut off.
Welcome to the group.
Like others.. now that you are using your new toy.. tool, where are the pictures of the beast in action?? :)
I started looking at a CK20 gear and by the time I was done.... I had selected a CK30HST, still waiting on financing.

Congrats. I spent this afternoon using my DK45SE and rear blade to clean the horse stalls. It really is an excellent machines and as island mentiond the loader will coming in handy even if you don't need the max lifting capacity. I typically move dirt so any loader would of fit the bill. However know we are getting into round bails so the high capacity will come in handy.

Thanks for the replies. Can someone tell me a range of how much round bales of hay weigh, both wet and dry? Thanks.

You'd probably do better posting that question in one of the general forums either on operating, attachments or rural living. You might get an answer here but I cannot recall any of the Kioti owners dealing with large bales of hay. Those things are heavy though, I recall something in the (wide) range of 1500-2500lbs.

We deal with bail that have been anywhere from 900lbs to 1500lbs. dry. I am sure once they get we they gain considerable weight but wet hay is really no good to us so we typcially dry to keep them covered. If you look at the spec's for the current New Holland round bailers you can adjust the weights from 300lbs up to 2200lbs depend on the model.

Thanks guys, that info is what I needed to know. It looks like my KL1450 may or may not pick up a round bale of hay depending on it's size. When I bought the tractor, my dealer assured me that it would lift a round bale to full height. I guess I should have asked how big of a round bale would it lift?
