Thanks for all the replies ahead of time. I've got 5.5 acres and need to do a number of things including but not limited to:
Mowing, dirt moving, drainage, grading, bushhogging, fence work, pond (small) digging, etc. I've been looking around for awhile now at new and used tractors. Seeing as how this is my first tractor, I think I'm going to go with a new one, mainly because I don't have the experience in choosing or working on a used one. I have about 15K to spend and this is where I'm at now. Any and all opinions will be greatly appreciated. Here's the tractors that I think I'm down to, again, any other options?

Farm Pro 2430 - 30hp (New) 4wd Tractor with Koyker 160 Front End Loader - comes
with 6 month parts and labor warranty
5' Finish Mower
5' Brush Hog
5' Box Blade
5' Straight Blade
Post Hole Digger with 6" and 9" Auger

$13995.00

Kama TS 354 C (New) - 35 hp 4wd Tractor with Koyker 160 Front End Loader - comes
with 1 year parts only warranty
5' Finish Mower
5' Brush Hog
5' Box Blade
5' Straight Blade
Post Hole Digger with 6" and 9" Auger

$14650.00

2004 Kioti DK35 (10 hours) - 35 hp 4wd Tractor with Industrial tires, and Koyker 160 Front
End Loader - comes with 2 year parts and labor warranty and 3rd year parts
only.
5' Finish Mower
5' Brush Hog
5' Box Blade
5' Straight Blade
Post Hole Digger with 6" and 9" Auger

$19000.00

Thanks again to everyone that can help me out here!!

One of the big reasons for buying NEW is the fact that you are getting a warranty to back up your purchase. Looks like you have a # of tasks for the tractor and I would not want to purchase anything NEW that did not come with at least a 2 year warranty. I would rather purchase one of the big 3 used in very good condition than purchase a New non big 3 without a warranty to back it up. Just my way of thinking, but if it can't be backed up by a 2 yr warranty the manufacturer must not think much about it to begin with. Best of luck on your decision.

Thanks for the reply, I just didn't put in the original thread the information about the warranty, i guess I should have. All three of the tractors I listed will have warranties, if I buy one of the actual NEW ones the warrany would be about $1200 bucks for 4 years, that's part and labor, the Kioti has a 2 year parts and labor, and a 3rd year parts only. I guess what I really need to find out is some information on the reliability, power, ease of use, etc. about these tractors I've listed and if there's a brand in this price range that I haven't found, that may be better.

I know that the Kioti is a better tractor, or so I've been told, and it costs a little more than I want to spend, but if that's a really good deal, then i may just have to do it.

Thanks again for the help!

Out of the three you mentioned I would definatly go with the DK 35 (although it may be on the large size for 5 1/2 acres and run over your buget).
Also the implements you listed seem on the small size for that
machine.
On my DK 35 I run a 6' brush mower (5' would be OK) a 6' boxblade and a 7' rear blade with no problem.
I would run at least a 6' finish mower (it will run a 7' )
Again I'm not sure you need that big of a machine for 5.5 acres.
Kioti also offers the CK 25 and 30 or LK 3054 that would get your price down somewhat.

Thanks DK, was reading some of your posts, since you have one of the tractors I'm looking at. I am realizing that that tractor may be a little much for what I'm wanting for at my house, but will definitely be using whichever tractor I get to do things to help pay for itself. With all that said, do you have much knowledge about all three of them listed, and is there another brand that I'm not thinking about?? ANd, is that price of 19K for the kioti a decent price with the implements?

Thanks!

The price for the DK with implements looks good to me.
Just that some of the implements are a bit small for that machine in my opinion.

Thanks again,

So far, I don't have much to go on, other than everything I've read here and on other url's. I may end up making my decision based on money rather than on what's the better machine. I guess I have to find out exactly how many days I'd have to sleep outside if I spend the 19K. LOL

I would have to sleep outside if I tried to save the $5G and ended up with a less than satisfactory machine...

Kioti also offers the CK and LK series machines, have you priced any of those. They generally come in at less $ than the DK's.
