If so I hope it's better than the 6 speed they use with the 5.0. My work truck is a 2014 F150 with the 5.0 and 6 speed and the transmission is one of the worst parts of the truck. Under most conditions it works just fine, but it doesn't take much to trick it into a hard/jerky shift. The 6 speed on my 2007 Tundra never has a hard/jerky shift. The problem is mostly during on/off throttle situations....you're accelerating hard and have to suddenly let off the throttle, or you get on the throttle harder just before a normal shift point...that sort of stuff. A couple of times I thought parts were going to come out the bottom of the pan!
The new 10 speed auto is designed/built in partnership with GM. It the Ecoboost is why Ford does not need to use AFM in the other gas engines, then maybe GM should drop the turbo'd 3.6 in the 1500's.
