It would be nice to have more power and tq. But my truck is paid for and I don't need a bank owned truck that has big #.

That's 10 more HP and 50 ft/lbs of torque more than the current engine.. The gen I ecoboost did that with a pretty conservative tune.

I can only imagine what a hot tune on the gen II ecoboost will do. Probably looking at 500+ HP and 550-600+ ft/lbs of torque easily.

I might just have to trade up once it's been out a year or so. Strong motor.

There are 1000's if not more EB trucks running around with that much power.

400HP and 550 FT Lbs will be something to talk about.

That's pretty impressive, especially for just 3.5l. My '13 Tundra is doing well for now, but when I wear it out I will definitely look at both Ford and Toyota. Been impressed with both.

Most people can't feel 10hp, but they will notice 50lbft. This should close the door on the Coyote vs EB towing debates. Just wait until the tuners get a hold of one. The difference with my truck tuned vs untuned is dramatic.

I look forward to the stories of how these engines perform long term.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If they do what they claim and are very dependable there would seem to be no reason they couldn't be used on other 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks as well medium duty trucks.

My gut feeling is they are more of a sports car engine in a pickup. Which is perfect as the vast majority of pickups these days live an easy life compared to years past.

My thoughts exactly, seems like they would be putting them in 3/4 and 1 tons, from what some on here say I'm surprised they haven't mounted a blade on the front of their's and used it for a bulldozer.:D
