DMG,
To be clear can you specify exactly how many front circuits and how many rear circuits you are planning for?

I would suggest three for the fel, lift, curl and auxillary.
On the rear top and tilt needs two circuits and rear blades can need two additional circuits. A hydraulic scarifier would need a circuit for its operation and there are others such as snowblower chute control. My point is if you go to all this trouble I would plan to get four circuits on the rear.

I was thinking three for the front and only one for the rear .. at least for now.. four would be great.. but you got the stop the spending somewhere and i definately require the three for the front...

I would investigate getting an electric hydraulic for the fel and add the joystick grip to the fel lever.

I'm glad I stumbled onto this, I'm currently waiting for my 2011 4120 to ship, meanwhile I catch the Elec 3rd on the order form.. My use for the third was not to be loader specific.. So I called the dealer to express my disapproval, noe they're going to give me a deal on the 4th and 5th so I can have the lever I want.. Looking at the pics, i think If you had a tallboy in the cupholder, activation of the bottom lever would spill it..
I would rather had the manual valve and lever, dealer says no console mounted levers from here on out.. My main use was to be top or tilt for box blade, would have been nice to be beside the 3pt lever..
I also explained to the dealer that when I'm grading I dont sit square in the seat.. You know left paw on the wheel and right hand for 3 pt lever and Hyd.. Not so handy to reach forward to the loader joystick...
For you grapple and 4 in 1 guys I feel you pain.. it's too bad they forgot us poor folks who want juice out back for 244.00

Peiffer Rental,
I use the 4520 with a boxblade often and find the joystick control of the top and tilt works well and is easy to reach when turned partiallly sideways.

If I had my choice I would rather have the scarifiers on a separate lever since this doesn't get as much use and have the joystick with the rocker switch to control an electric hydraulic 3PH to raise and lower it. That would enable you to raise and lower the hitch, adjust the topntilt all in one control stick. Wouldn't take me long to get used to that.

Steve,

All you have to do is go with a new 5000 series and the the EH 3pt! Got a little rocker switch right next to the larger, 3pt lever on the fender panel.

Incrementally raise or lower the 3pt. Or, lift it all the way up or to a pre-set level - like you'd do at the end of a row or turning at the end of a field.

Well IIRC you were/are in instrumentation controls so I wouldn't think it would be a stretch to use the rocker switch on the fel joystick to operate the hitch.

I could use a 5075M on the ranch but we have had so little moisture this year that there hasn't been enough feed and certainly no profits.

Yep.. And that would be a "doable" configuration! You might be on the leading edge of a new 3pt control feature!

The news reports on the fires in NM and AZ are very, very bad!

We live close to a large wilderness area that's part of the Kenai Peninsula Wildlife Refuge. So, we've had wildfires close to our home and there's nothing that can make you feel any more helpless and hopeless when you see the smoke and flames marching towards you. Nearly everything you've done in your lifetime and your family's lifetime could be lost in an hour or less!!

No profit in that...

Yeah that is what my quote has priced on it.. however it appears that it may not be available on the 4000 series unless it is one of the 20's and where mine is a 4105 there seems to be some confusion..

so once again i am off to the dealer to see what is what..

And the only people i want to talk to for now are the guys with grease on their hands...

I am pretty sure what i want it possible.. i was just looking at another thread where a fellow rigged his 3038e with a thrid function for grapple, power beyond and what looks likes some live remotes on the back... heres the link... Just added rear SCV & 3rd function to JD 3038e - TractorByNet.com..

In my quote the electrohydraulic thrid scv is there and the line kit for the loader.. i do not have the power bryond kit there though.. and maybe that is required.

AKfish,
I have been within a 1/2 mile of the fires and it is very disconcerting to watch. We are starting our rainy season now and hope for rain asap.

The 5075M is a great tractor hope you have fun with it.
