New England nor'easter

I get it that occasionally, you all get some weather in the NE but the media sure makes it sound dramatic. Meanwhile here in the PNW... the same type of weather or worse doesn't get reported nationally. National media sucks... but not as much as local when it comes to important events. Funny how regardless of whether (weather) the media is local or national... makes more out of it than necessary. :confused3:

Some but not all weather guessers seems as they to acting drama classes and amplify storm  but when there forecast way off very very seldom they will admit it and try forecast next storm 5-7 days out,but on the positive side least weather guessers gives a heads up.

When I was a kid, they'd forecast "chance of a thunderstorm later today" and we'd go about our business. Now, it's usually a "SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING". Or it's sometimes a low pressure system approaching with the weather person telling us that "There are 3.7 million people at risk in the path of the approaching storm!"

Then one of the local TV stations saw fit to rename the regular weather report "First Warning Weather". No matter if the forecast was for sunny comfy weather or not.

And who can forget this:

I was in the guessers 8-14" range, got >8" of blowing sideways wet snow. Just passed 48 hours on generator power.
It was pretty, just poor conditions for plowing with unfrozen ground.

Good to hear your generator is kicking right along,
wonder how many of the folks that say you don't need those just a waste of money are doing.
Or those running around refilling those 3600 rpm screamers and playing with extension cords.

You aren't kidding!
I can no longer tolerate it, between the "canned" filler stories from somewhere but not here and the plain as day tilt with political matters to the 15 minute with 4 commercials "weather report" that at the end, still leaves you with the
What's the weather going to be tomorrow question. And now we're watching a camera pointed at a phone of an idiot talking to his phone that's supposed to constitute a report? Quit watching altogether a few months ago. :drink:
