Hi all, I have about 80 acres and need a variety of attachments for the tractor. My place is in Lyle Wa, about 10 miles north of the Columbia.

I have a mini excavator but need a tractor to mow, dig post holes and move dirt and gravel. I have almost 2 miles of road to maintain.

Primary home in Seattle, ranch is in South Central Washington.

To clarify, the ranch is a hobby, not my business. Covered in trees and steep terrain. Part of former cattle ranch. Looking at used 30-50 hp 4wd tractor.

Insert your location into your T-B-N PROFILE, so it shows with every post you make. If you are reasonably specific with your location, respondents will clue you into used tractors for sale within a reasonable distance of your property. They will also let you know where quality service is available.

I graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle's north end, Class of 1965.

Yes, welcome to TBN. Lots of good people and mostly good advice!

Sounds like you have a future home of another wonderful Washington State vineyard!

Welcome to TBN and this forum - ron. Gotta chuckle - Tractor Seabee - mentions his dislike for driving to/in Seattle. I feel that same way every time I have to go into Spokane. And for the record - last time I was in or near Seattle - spring 1965 - I graduated from the U of W. That place - Seattle or any large city - is a disaster looking for a place to happen for this old curmudgeon. I just can not get into the Kama Kazi driving mode.

Go Dawgs! I am a Husky alum as well. Getting out of the 'big' city (which Seattle is getting) and moving to Kitsap county was a huge stress reliever for me.

Not sure how many years I have saved/added but when I first moved to Seabeck, I used to get bothered by other drivers going too slow. Now when I go to Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond area, I feel like they are driving up my backside! That tells me something.

It's saying your getting old.
I least that's my excuse for not wanting to drive up in the Seattle zoo zone. Not offense to current, past ofr future Seattlelites.

Oosik,

Gotta tell you as a relatively recent east side part timer (counting down to full timer, soon) driving in and around Spokane proper ( which I prefer not to do given the choice) is still a delight when compared to driving in and around the people’s republic of Seattle and environs

I’ve been making the commute from the south end to Everett since around 1995 and can unequivocally state that the sucky (and getting suckier traffic-combined with the Seattle&Kingco nonsense) is the single biggest reason that drove my purchase of 35 acres on top of a ridge at the end of a 3+ mile gravel road, behind a tall steel gate!! That and I don’t like people all that much

Welcome from the Yelm area. Got to chuckle a bit about our prevalent urge to stay away from large cities. I have some friends who lived in Seattle (Ballard) for many years, they moved to New York City a couple of years ago. I guess it's to each their own, I would not enjoy Seattle and the thought of living in New York City terrifies me!
