Great forum. Need a little help. I just purchased a 14 acre horse farm and I am trying to determine what type of tractor to get. Never owned a tractor before and can't decide between JD and Kubota. I currently have a JD lawn mower so I am naturally leaning that way but the prices WOW!!!!!!!! Are they worth the price? Looking at a3038E JD and B3300SU Kubota
Thanks

Hi Hammerhead - welcome to TBN. The JD vs Kubota decision is more about the dealer than the machine. Before you purchase anything, consider what you want a tractor to do for you - and confirm that your tractor candidates are appropriate. Good luck!

You can use the search feature and have plenty of reading material...

Welcome to TBN!!! Both tractors are good, you have to test drive them and "feel" the dealers out. The more you interact with the dealers... the better. Have fun picking one out. teg

Hi Hammerhead22,

I'm not familiar with the B3300SU, so I can't comment on that. When I was trying to decide about a month ago, I looked at the L3700SU and the 3038e. I think you will find those two machines are very comparable.

I was leaning toward the Kubota, but got a better price on the JD by a couple thousand. Pretty sure I would have been happy with either one. I really like my 3038e so far (only 10 hours).

Welcome to TBN! :D

As for which tractor to choose, check out each specific forum to get specific info on pros/cons and member observations. ( I can say that the JD and Kubota owners are pretty loyal (Biased:D)to each brand!

But everybody here is great and all are forthcoming with shared knowledge!

Enjoy!

If one of them was made in the USA I would likely choose that one.
