Dogscape, doing your own service is a great way to become familiar with your machine. Not too hard to do, and there are numerous posts on TBN about it.
About the most expensive part of it is the hydraulic fluid. Dealer prices for filters are right up there, too, but probably best to stick with them-- in fact, I'm not sure if anyone has found an exact replacement aftermarket transmission filter yet, but I could be wrong.
I've heard, too, that some dealers will include the first 50-hr service- ask.
Just find a place that will take your used oil & hydraulic fluid for recycling before you start.
