GC2310
Well everyone, as I said a couple of weeks ago, I was waiting for delivery of my new GC2310, and it was delivered Monday!
I am very happy with it, I've tried to play a little after work every day this week waiting for today, Saturday, so I could really start learning to use it. Of course it's been raining steadily since before sunrise!!! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Anyway it's here and it's got to stop raining sometime??

Here's a picture of the tractor under a tarp next to some of the bldg materials which will become it's new home when it finally dries out.

Doug - I cleaned the lens and changed the batteries, the color came out better I think?

Nasty 135 - I'm in St. Mary's county (California) my dirt is mostly clay it seems. I did get my tractor from Perry Guy, I wanted to stay close to home and Perry was great to work with so it was the best place for me.

AND it's still raining!!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi Terry,

I am also from Southern Maryland. I am trying to decide on buying a small tractor to replace a Cub Cadet 782 (Garden Mower).

If you don't mind, how much did you pay for the GC2310 TLB? How's the service at Guy Brothers? I came real close at buying a New Holland (had my check book in my pocket), but the salesman was pretty bad - I waited 25 minutes for him showing another customer with a Kubota (demo, implement removal). When I asked him about loader and MMM removal, he just pointed at the machine and says it's real simple. Nothing to it. Gave me his business card (no written quote). BTW- he also wanted $25 to fill the tractor w/ diesel if I wanted to buy.

Needless to say, I walked out.

Soooo - to make my long story short, I want to take my business to someone else, preferably locally in Southern Maryland.

Thanks

Hi,

I ended up paying $16K for mine at Guy Implements. Perry Guy is who I worked with and he seems to be one of the good guys, he was honest and answered all my questions and gave me his full attention when I was there. So far I'm happy with them, but I've only had the tractor a few weeks, and I haven't needed any service or help, so it's hard to judge how it will go long term, but I have no reason to believe it won't go well. Perry delivered the tractor, and was at my house for a couple of hours going over everthing, including removing the FLB and BH.

I wanted to stay close to home and they are the closest dealer for me. I also talked to Hugh Garner at the Kobota dealer up in Faulkner and he seemed to be pretty good also.

Good Luck picking a tractor!

Hey Garrabo, I know it's an ugly 16 K cover, but it came with a free tractor !! And it won't have to live under a tarp pretty soon, see attachment.

JLR, I agree completely about Guy brothers, I'm had nothing but good when I'm dealing with them, great folks, also the same feeling when I was at the green place, they just didn't seem to care whether I bought anything or not.

Sorry I took a while to reply, I was in St. Louis all week.

Terry

MFCheif, Now your talking that's a nice tractor shed/barn for your new toy!! It's funny how you need a place to put the hi-dollar toy,But the $20k plus cars & trucks can still sit in the snow and sun year round ? Don't worry I'm the same way /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
It will be nice when finished /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'm sure the GC was instrumental in the ground breaking ceremony, It does make it seem so useful and versatile ,thus giving a double sense of satisfaction /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif other than a very nice lawn mower?I forget do you have the MMM? and cup holder? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif (of course)

Nasty,

Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been on the road all week.

I'm happy with the tractor shed, it's getting close to finished, we got the roof on last weekend, so it's fairly water tight. I still need to install the garage door, but since I'm traveling so much this quarter. it will be next weekend before that happens. Right now there is a tarp across the doorway, which works OK for now.

The tractor was a big help getting ready for the concrete pour, and I used it to get roofing stuff up for the guys working there. It wouldn't go all the way up, since it's a small tractor and I built the shed with 10 foot walls to give me some loft storage, but it was a big help getting the shingle bungles most of the way up for the guys.

I know what you mean about the cars /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It is funny how we prioritize which things to spend the most effort/dollars on. I have a garage, but I don't think the car has been in it for a couple of years.....

Say different subject, I think you posted awhile back in the attachments forum that you had bought a boom pole for about $70, did you get that from Guy Implements? I need to get one and that's the best price I've heard in a while.

MFChief, I didn't get my pole from GUY BROS. because they are pretty far away from me ,I live in Calvert county.
I went up to Upper Marlboro to the Trading Post about ten miles from me ,Talk to Greg he is "Fast Eddies"(Owner) Son and he will talk a cash deal, I've had my boom pole for 4 or 5 years now /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It is a big help with a good chain. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks Nasty,

I guess since you said it was red, I faked myself out!
I'll try the Trading Post, but I suspect it will be a little higher since you got your's a few years ago. If nothing else it sounds like a good place to do some window shopping. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

They have Rotary cutters(bush hog) RFM's, Box scrapers, pulverizer's, aerator's, Well you name it they've got it..
Also they have a lot of older tractor's to LOOK at! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
