Hi All,
New guy to the forum, but not new to tractors.
I did just buy a new to me IH 464 gasser with IH1850 loader. The old gal runs great, but she can use a little refurbishing. She's gonna get used for some landscaping and fence building, then spend the winter in the shop getting a little love. I'll post pics when I can.

I'm in the process of upgrading from several Sears GTs, but grew up on and around farm equipment. When I was 12 or 13 I got tired of my dad making us rake the hay by hand and dug the old WD Alice out and got her running. Then went back into the pile for the side delivery rake and got that working too. Been turning wrenches in some fashion ever since, and I look forward to learning what I can about the new tractor.

This one is going to be named Lowell, in honor of my wife's Grandpa. He was a great guy, and before he passed he was rebuilding an old IH M. Never got it all the way finished, and that one finally got sold at auction this last spring. He used to love showing me all the stuff he was working on, and he could run the old lathe they have like no other.
Anyway, Lowell is gonna be used but well loved. :)

:welcome:

Enjoy your seat time on a great tractor! You'll surely feel like a teenager in no time and we all need that occasionally! Hoping Lowell sees some good action before the snow flies and then helps you out if and when a big 'ol blizzard rolls through, assuming the TLC is addressed at that point.

Be safe!

Those old tractors are built much better than today's some young son tractors built overseas. Love the name as well.

Welcome to TBN. I was up in Kalispell and Whitefish a couple weeks ago. You have some beautiful scenery up there.

Ford850, the scenery is ugly and people are just plain rude.

Now I know better than that!
Do you know if the Miracle of America museum is still there over in Polson? I love that place.
And welcome to TBN from Maine!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I tried to fire Lowell up this morning to unload before heading in to work, but he was feeling cranky. Fired right up this evening though.
I took pics with my phone, so they are over on google. Apparently I can't post links until I get five post...
I tinkered around a little this evening and found some redneck engineering going on with one of the tie rod ends. Got the seat off and cleaned the tracks so now it sort of slides. Put 25psi in the fronts, they were down to about 8. Gave her a quick hosing off, but it'll take a steam cleaner to do the job right.
Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Welcome, welcome, from New York!

Do me a favor, and regularly post pictures on this forum of that "big sky" they tell me about?

I'm telling ya, the scenery just isn't worth taking pics.
I did find the serial number, 102562, so I'm pretty sure the tractor is the same vintage as me. :)
