Very nice site here, I'm glad I found it. I know you are all probably tired of answering the same questions but I am another guy in the market for a Tractor. Here's my story, I live in South Western Pa. and I have twenty wooded acres and about an acre and a half to fininsh mow. My Property joins my fathers property (50acres, wooded) between the two I have about 1/2 mile of gravel roads to maintain. All rolling hills some pretty steep. Now here is the kicker.
I plow snow commercially I service a Lowes Store. I own a Cat 246 Skid Steer with Cab & Heat and Two Speed Option. I run a 10' Snow Pusher Box on it and it works Great. How ever I also do some low impact logging on my property and my fathers and some others. My Skid Steer is great for what I use it for but sucks in the woods. My skidsteer spends most of the summer washed waxed and sitting in my garage while I am renting a tracked skid steer to get logs out of the woods. I am going to get a Kubota but I don't know which one would best suit my needs. I can plow with my truck and just use the Tractor to clean out there bull pen and garden center. So what I am looking for is to be able to move some snow, Grade Driveways, Get Logs out of the woods and many other tasks. Any suggestions? And whats the difference between the L series and the Grand L Series.

The grand L's are a deluxe version of the tractor with more options. I was comparing the L 4330 with the new holland tc40 & ended buying the tc, but the L's are very nice tractors.

BlueToy...What swayed your decision towards the TC40 over the L4330, price alone? Did you go HST or not?

1st of all welcome to the forum /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif and 2nd depending on how much $$$$ you want to spend the Grand L'S are bit more $$ than the Lseries, but you do get some bell and whistles . You say you want a KUBOTA (PERFECTLY FINE as i am kubota orentiated) but you really should check out all the other tractors. no matter which brand you decide on I would suggest that you stay in the upper HP of the CUTS. mid 40's at least. Which tranny were thinking of?

I am pretty sure that I will sell the Skid Loader, On one hand I would like to keep it but I really don't use it except for snow removal and maybe moving logs around once I get them up to where we set the saw mill. If I sell the skid loader I can afford around thity thousand maybe a little more for a tractor. I'm not sure of which tranny to go with but I know I need to go from forward to reverse and back to forward quick, for snow removal purpose's. So hydro static would be nice but I will also be doing a lot of pulling of logs and such so would the hydro be OK?

Dknarnd, the TC was 1,000 less for the tractor w/ loader and the dealer is only 15 miles away. The Kubota dealer is 40 miles away.

I went with the hydro tranny and I really liked the dual pedal over the single pedal Kubota has. The loader joystick is right where your hand rests and the high-low range buttons are slick!! I cant wait til it gets delivered this week!!!

Welcome. I don't have a direct answer for you as to the model to get but do you have a need for a BH? I would say the L series is the right model line to be looking at. How would you move this big boy around is another question I have.
