Just thought I would say hi for the 1st time in here. I have been lurking for quite some time and the information here has been the best. I'm not really color blind when it comes to tractors as I've had to date: JD2010 High Crop, Ford 860 W/loader (currently), Case 580B Backhoe, Massey Harris Pony (still have), Massey Harris 101 (still have). I got the bug about 3 months ago to get a new tractor. I gave the benefit of the doubt to everyone and kept my eyes wide open. I came very close to the Mahindra 4530, but after closer inspection the fit & finish and a few options gave a clue why it was a little cheaper although the extra weight was attractive. I ended up buying a Kubota L5030 HST With LA853 Loader (skidsteer type), loaded tires, and remotes set up for me for the price of $24,500 + taxes. I didn't think this was too bad, or was it???? I also ended up purchasing 3000# pallet forks for $700 and a split-fire 230-4 3 point wood splitter for $1100. The whole package will be delivered this Thursday, I can't wait to get it dirty doing improvements around the property and doing some logging for my firewood out back.
