maupin,

Welcome to TBN. Price varies so much from area to area so it is tough for anyone here to tell if it is a good price or not unless you tell us where abouts your from. Go back and fill in your profile and then people in your area will chime in.

What I am saying is 14,000 may be a good price in the NE but in the Midwest it may be high. So fill out your profile and you will get answers along with lots of questions.

Also tell us more about type of tires and what type of tranny does it have?

Find out what you can buy a new NH that's comparable for so you can see the difference between new and used. There's no way to really gauge prices without using the price you can get new for in my opinion.
I can think of several new tractors one can buy that would be more, but they would have warranties, and few hours. Not that these hours are all that high, but they are there.
To me, it seems the price may be about $2K high. John

Well in North Georgia that would be high. Last year I could buy a new TC-30 gear transmission R-4 tires with a 7308 loader for a couple more hundred than you were quoted.

I think that may be a decent price. The 1920 is quite a bit more tractor than the TC30. More comparable to TC40 or TC 45.

I got a great deal on ebay for a '01 TC29D FEL MMM for $12,200 (not trying to brag, but) so I probably wouldn't feel good paying more than $11K (depending on trans, fel, etc)...

I hear what you say, but the TC29 is much smaller than a 1920. I'd go for the 1920 vrs the TC 30 or 29 any day.

I guess even having a TC29D myself the 1920 is a much bigger tractor. The price quoted above may very well be a good price. As far as the hours, if the tractor is in good shape the hours is peanuts to what it is capable of having over the years.

Chappell Tractor in Brentwood NH has a 1920 with canopy and Great Bend loader and Ag tires. Looks to be in pretty good shape. It's a 1998 with 852 hours and they are asking $15,400. Your price sounds reasonable.

Here is a link to Chappell's used equipment page where you can see its picture.
