I personally think the Jubilee and later Fords of that era were certainly better tractors as far as function. I even think Harry Ferguson did Ford a favor by making him change the hydraulic system to an engine mounted pump. That allowed live hydraulics. But, that's another discussion. For their time, the 8Ns were a very successful and well-built tractor with interchangeable parts and a dealer network that could provide service. Many of them provide excellent service even today.
I have always liked Ford medium-gray paint with a red belly. The retro model seems to have a paint that is more gray than the 8N in the background. The Ford medium-gray has a more "creamy" look to it than other gray paints.
