Has anyone had engine block/transmission cracking problems with the New Holland TC30. Someone on this board or another one was going on about design flaws with the TC30 cracking the engine block, or bell housing. Has anyone else heard about this problem. I am seriously considering a TC30, so I am very interested in this issue.
I bough a new tc30 in 2003 and in July 2018 I broke my bell housing by lifting a log, The engine did not crack just the bell housing.
Took it to a New Holland Dealer to replace the bell housing and when I got it back I ran it for about a hour to see if it had any leaks no leaks. the next day I went to remove a stomp with my back hoe worked great. Went to load my loader it made load noise like it was coming a part shut if off and look to see what was wrong it broke the ear on right side of the engine and on the left side it cracked the engine. The shop forgot to put some of the bolts in that hold the engine to the bell housing. it also broke the starter and the fly wheel. the dealer is going to weld the ear back on the engine and replace the starter and the ring gear but for the crack block he told me to keep a eye on the oil because it leaks out of the crack. with all that from 2003 to 2018 that has been the best tractor for me. I would buy a tc30 if still on the market today in a heart beat
