Yes, the tires are the correct sizes. Now that the wear and tear (abuse) from the previous owner has been resolved I will adopt the practice of using 4wd when absolutely needed. And another note: After this repair I do have Hi-Med-Lo ranges. As bought it with only Hi-Med. The older guy that delivered the tractor told me I would not use the Lo range anyway. He was right. It's really slow but I'm glad it works and better to resell if I ever want to.

I too was interested to learn about the different gear ratios for front and rear drives. I thought about that while I had the machine jacked up but didn't take the time to "count" the rotations. I just retired from a career as a mechanical designer so would have thought the ratios would have been 1:1....but then I didn't design tractors! Thanks for that information.

Hi, still learning how to negotiate the forum, I have a stuck throttle stuck at 2400 rpm. Any suggestions on how to adjust or lubricate the throttle / cable to fix the "stuck" throttle would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any comments.....Ed Striedl

Sorry. I don't have anything to suggest and tractor is not handy to go look at. My experience with oiling a sheathed cable is that it will eventually get gummed up with dust and becomes routine maintainance after that. Maybe spray cable/linkages with a lubricant that dries up and leaves a film?

Hi. I was able to gleen information about the location of the cable to the extent that the problem was at the engine side and with using a cleaner / lubricant I was able to free the linkage that the throttle is now moving and allowing the RPM to work! I thank you for the information on the forum to give me enough info to fix my problem!!!!! THANKS for the support!...ed

Hopefully someone can help me out here. TC-21 tractor same as in pic but much more rust. I can't shift 2 or Reverse but 1st and 3rd shift fine. I figured I would pop the case off and inspect the shifter rods but I cannot for the life of me get this cover off. I don't want to break it by prying. All of the bolts are out. What am I missing or is this even possible?

I got the case off finally with a little tender persuasion. Have to see if anything is broke or not.
