New Holland TC45 Fuel Injection Pump Problem

I need a manual to check clearances, tolerances and such. if anyone has a recommendation on where to find one or if someone can make a copy for me would help tremendously. I will try to remove the pan this week and look for any problems. I must also admit that I am using the fuel that was already in the tank (I don't know how old it is) since it smelled and looked ok. I may try a temp fuel tank with new fuel to see if maybe the old fuel octane is too low for fully atomized combustion.

I found this manual, I think this may be what I need. Sure beats paying $500 for one.

Update: I removed all of the old diesel fuel from the tank, lines, and filter bowl. I then checked the flow of the fuel system to the filter bowl and then filled with new fuel. So, with the rebuilt injection pump, spec tested injectors, and new fuel w/ filter I would say I have removed the possibility of some sort of fuel knock. I realize that I could still have a timing knock, but since the engine runs very smooth I don't suspect so. I also went out this weekend and bought an oil pressure tester and performed that test as well and found I had 50 psi at startup and 40 psi at idle. I found these numbers to be within specification and I am assuming from my past experiences that I do not have a spun bearing or possible rod/crank problem. Anyone have any idea where I should look to find this knocking sound? I have talked to a few friends and they feel the same as I do, tear it down and find the problem. I may just have something in the cylinder trapped between the piston and head. That's my best guess at this point.

Have you ran it w/ the valve cover off?? This is way off topic but.. a guy at work was having a HORRENDOUS noise in his F-150, sounded like the engine was coming apart. ALL test showed good..
He removed the valve cover & found the oil baffle welded to the underside of the valve cover had broken its tack welds & was laying on the rocker arms.!!! That aluminum plate beating against an aluminum valve cover made for some VERY interesting noises..
Just a thought..
To be blunt>> you have 2 choices.. rip it apart NOW or let it do it on its own LATER..
I would ATLEAST pull the V. Cover..

I think I have found the source of my engine knocking problem. After pulling the oil pan last night I found lots of metal shavings in the pan, i will be posting updates to my engine knock thread i started back in June. Check there for any updates if anyone is still following this.

Final post for this thread. I had a new engine installed by a local tractor mechanic and the TC45 came back to life and runs like a top. If anyone else ends up having to need a rebuild, I highly recommend checking into getting a new engine as the EPA has forced the tractor manufacturers to sell off their supply as these old engines do not meet EPA standards and the new engine cost me significantly less than the parts and labor would have been to do a complete rebuild.

The old engine carries a 10K core charge and most be destroyed once its turned over to manufacturer.
