Kids (goats) got loose, playing on the tractor and managed to turn on the lights. By morning the battery was dead. Jumped it, worked fine. Used the tractor that day, next morning dead again. Replaced the battery. Now nothing.I have an older tractor. Replaced the battery, now won't crank. Fuses are all good, panel lights up, at a loss.
Thanks, I'll check that out.TC35, TC40, and TC45 have known problems with their battery cables. I suggest you do a search here at TBN, and or replace both cables. When they were crimped at the factory, over the years corrosion causes the ends and cables to put high impedance onto the current flow to and from the starter.
Happened to my neighbors TC35, took him a while to figure it out. He built two new cables and soldered the ends, not crimp them.
Thanks, I'll have that checked. I didn't think there was a problem with the starter, but certainly worth a look.Clean the grounds and the power lead to the starter. Loosen then retighten the starter bolts. I theorize there's a ton of corrosion everywhere.
Thanks, worth a look. The TC series had a problem with internal corrosion on the battery cable ends. It allows voltage to pass but not amps under load. Bypass them with a set of jumper cables and see if that helps.
