New Holland vs. Deere

Congratulations again SSG,

You will enjoy the power and torque in that tractor. It will pull NH equipment, but you have to put a dot of orange paint on it so it won't be automatically rejected. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

There was something earlier about turning ratios, but for my use pulling a sprigger, fertilizer spreader, shredder, tiller, etc, I seldom use the tight turning circle of the M6800SD. Most of the implements don't appreciate you turning very sharp - breaks tiller blades and slams mowers around.

I did answer about mowing rough fields. The best solution is to smooth those fields out with a tiller. After sprigging mine, I pulled a piece of 4.5 inch pipe 8 ft long and the field is now as smooth as a lawn to mow. What slows you down mowing is trying to keep the tractor on the ground and you in the seat where they have been plowed and left pretty rough. Just no way to make a plow leave the land like a tiller. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
